After arriving at my house, Luke hopped out of the car and opened my door for me."Thank you sir." I fake a curtsy and he tips his imaginary hat.
"No problem ma'am."
We walk to the front door and I stop him before going inside.
He looks at me, puzzled.
"Aubrey responded."
"Really? What did she say?" He says, excited for me.
"To do this-" I crash my lips into his and he's taken aback. He kisses me back and I pull away.
"She's a smart girl." He laughs, still shocked by my sudden actions.
I open the door and he grabs my bum as I step inside.
I spin around and glare.
"Don't push it." I point at him and walk off.
He chuckles and walks to the bathroom to change into his swim trunks.
I enter the kitchen and lean my back against the island.
What the hell did I just do??
You did what Aubrey told you to do, remember? You got him, badass.
I smiled at the conversation I just created in my head and walked to the cupboards.
I got out a bunch of large bowls and tried to reach the top cupboard to get crisps.
I was way to short for this.
A hand snaked around my waist as Luke reached up and got a couple of bags easily.
I smiled at him awkwardly and mumbled some type of thank you.
I emptied a bag into one bowl, and a different kind into another. After filling all of the bowls with snacks, including pretzels, cheese crunches, and trail mix, I grabbed a bowl and opened the door to the patio. Luke was already in the pool, treading in the deep end. I walked out into the sun, soaking up the day's warmth. I made several other trips to carry all of them.
I walked inside and poured myself some iced tea, grabbed my newest subscription to Teen Vogue and some sunglasses and walked back outside.
I sat down on a chaise by the pool and slipped the sunglasses onto my face. I pulled off my shirt and opened the magazine.
"Hey diva, come swim with me!" Luke shouts.
I lay the magazine down on my legs and look at him.
"Not right now. I'm trying to tan." I say before closing the magazine and setting it on the table next to me, with my iced tea.
"Come on babe, just a quick dip?" He asks again.
I take off my sunglasses and stand up.
"Fine." I sigh before walking to the shallow end and entering the pool on the stairs.
It wasn't cold, but it wasn't warm either.
Luke swam to me and stood up. He smiled at me before grabbing my hips and pulling me closer.
I looked into his blue eyes, the ones that could keep me up at night. He smirks and takes his lip ring between his teeth.
"What?" I laugh, breaking my stare and looking at my feet. The image was distorted, because of the ripples in the water.
"I'm just looking at you, what's wrong with that?" He asks
"Because I don't like it when people look to long at me. The longer you look, the more you see." I smile before stepping past him and diving down to the bottom of the pool in the deep end.
