I think the hardest thing about life, is coming to terms with the fact that things are over. Being able to grasp the concept, that not everything in life will go the way you want it to. As I ponder through myriad events of my life, I don't notice Brandon standing against my door, staring at me.

"You okay, sis?" He asks, breaking me from my depressing thoughts.

"Yeah, I think I'll be fine. I mean I don't really have a choice in this matter, now do I?" I ask, chuckling sarcastically.

"You always have a choice Jess, and forgiving Luke is always an option as well," he says, walking towards me, and taking a seat on my bed. Forgiving him?

"Shouldn't you be telling me to do the exact opposite?" I question him, not believing what I'm hearing.

"I hate him for hurting you Jessica, but I can't help but feel that what you guys had, was genuine."

Hearing Brandon talk like this, was not only creepy, but really amusing. He was never the sentimental type. Don't get me wrong, Brandon is a great brother and he was always around whenever I needed a shoulder to cry on. However, this was something new.

"Wise words brother," I smile at him.

"I know, who knew I had those in me?" He chuckles.

"Enough of this, I'm tired of lying around in bed," I mutter, giving Brandon my puppy dog eyes. He can't resist these.

"Oh-no! No Jessica, you heard the doctor. You're on bedrest," Brandon says giving me. pointed stare. He's trying so hard not to give into me.

"Please Brandon, the more I sit around and do nothing, the more I'll think about him," I beg, looking at him and faking tears.

"You are going to kill me one day with that face."

"Yay! Let's go get something to eat and then I wanna swing by the gym to watch the others practice. Also, seeing Coach is probably a good idea too," I say, getting excited.

"Didn't Luke bring you Taco Bell?" He questions, looking around my room for the bag.

"Yeah, I threw it away. Why?" I ask, smirking.

"Of course you did," Brandon replies, shaking his head.

I go into my closet and throw on a pair of black jeans with a red crop top. I wasn't allowed to shower till the next day, so I just throw my hair into a high bun, trying not to mess with the bandage on my head. I pop two pills of Advil and drag my brother out of the house and into his car.

"Let's go to Taco Bell!" I scream. What can I say, I love Taco Bell.

"I'll never understand you women," Brandon mutters. "Luke bought you Taco Bell, but you threw it away and now your gonna make me buy you Taco Bell, again?"

"Yeah, basically," I respond, putting the radio on, and humming along to the tunes.

"God help me."

I walk out of the car as we reach Taco Bell and wait impatiently for my brother.

"Brandon hurry up! I'm hungry!" I whine, walking backwards.

"Well, this wouldn't be happening if you weren't so stubborn and just ate the Taco Bell Luke so kindly brought for you!" He screams back, head ducked into the car.

I don't bother responding, I just keep walking backwards until I hit a wall-or what feels like a wall-I should say. I know it's not a wall because I can feel arms wrapping around my bare waist, keeping me from falling backwards even further. Walls don't have arms, ladies and gentlemen.

I turn around ready to apologize to the guy I just walked into-I know it's  a guy because let's face it, no girl can have such muscular and tense arms- but stop when I see who it is.

"Oh, it's you," I mutter angrily. I look up at Xavier who still has his arms around my waist.

"No thank you or apology Jessica?" Xavier taunts, as I try to get out of his hold.

"No, considering this bandage on my head is your doing, I think it's you who owes me the apology!" I half yell/ grumble. "And let go of me!"

Where the hell is Brandon when I need him?

"I don't need to apologize, maybe if you weren't such a lightweight then you wouldn't be in this situation," Xavier shoots back, playing along with his lies.

I move against him making his arms tense even further, as his hold only gets tighter and tighter, caging me against his chest. If this was somebody else, I would totally be turned on, I mean who wouldn't be? Muscular arms touching your bare waist, while your hands rest on a tight and muscular chest. Totally a turn on.

"You're a liar-!" I yell, struggling to get out of his steel like hold.

"Hey, what the hell do you think you're doing? Let go of her!" Brandon screams, vein popping from the side of his neck. Better late then never right? See Brandon can be very scary when he wants to be. I mean he goes to the gym pretty often (like every day) and so him and Xavier were practically the same size, which was huge.

"What are you going to do about it?" Xavier taunts, riling Brandon up with his mischievous grin. No, I refuse to deal with another fight.

"Back off Xavier and let me go!" I scream at him. "And Brandon, don't you dare take another step!"

"You weren't saying that the other day," Xavier smirks. And there he goes, ruining any progress I just made. Brandon will literally go ballistic if he knows that I was with him.

"What is he talking about, Jessica?" Brandon questions, talking predator like steps towards us.

"Nothing Brandon! He's just trying to pick a bone with you," I lie, attempting to solve the problem. I quickly jut my elbow out, and ram it inside Xavier's stomach, catching him off guard. Yay, I think, escaping his hold and walking towards Brandon.

"Let's go," I demand, pulling his arm and making him walk around a smirking Xavier. Bastard.

"I'll see you later, honey!" Xavier mocks, as I drag Brandon through the door successfully. Interrogation starts now, I groan just thinking about it.
