~Michael
Come on just ask him out!" Ashton pressured. He flipped his light brown curly hair and gave me a slight push. I planted my feet on the ground to keep from moving.
"No Ash just look at him. He's so beautiful and I'm not," I sighed. It would never work out between Luke Hemmings and I. Even thinking his name makes butterflies erupt throughout my stomach. Now let's get over with this. I like him. Lucas Robert Hemmings. I've liked him since freshman year but not once has he noticed me. Yes, he sees me in the hallways or at the cafeteria but that's a completely different story from actually meeting him.
Luke Hemmings just so happens to be the biggest punk of this school. He has tattoos running up his both of his muscular arms and has one extremely hot lip piercing. His hair is a gorgeous honey color with dark brown mixed in.
Lately though, he doesn't bother to do a quiff like he always does but instead hides most of his hair in his infamous beanie. He wears black and its suits him very well. His tight skinny jeans complement his legs and his usual band t-shirts screams punk. And to complete his badass look, you can always find him with a cigarette in between his plump lips.
And well me? I dye my hair every color of the rainbow and I'm far to awkward for my own sake.
"Michael come on you're definitely a looker! Do you see how many girls take a second glance at you even though they know you're extremely gay?" my loud friend continues. I roll my green eyes and continue my stare towards Luke.
"Come on Mikey the bus will be here any minute; you can stare at Luke there," Ashton drags me and I sigh, forcing my eyes to look directly in front of me instead. I pull my khaki pants up by the belt and I pull my hand away from Ashton, sending him a glare. He giggles and we meet Calum at the front of the school building.
"Hey baby," Calum greets Ash with a kiss and I shuffle my feet shyly. He grabs Ashton's hand and smiles at me before we get on the bus. Ashton always sit by Calum on the bus no matter what. If my last dying wish was to have Ashton sit by me at the bus he wouldn't do it. Those two are inseparable. I usually sit towards the very front of the bus because the farther you go to the back the worse it gets. Cal and Ash likes to sit around there so they can make out. And as for Luke he sits towards the very back as well with his friends.
I quickly take my seat and place my checkered backpack beside me. I always get the seat to myself which I thank the lucky stars for. As you can tell I'm not really a people person. I take out my phone and headphones and play a few country songs. I love Carrie Underwood so much you have no idea. All of my life I've been listening to country. I've tried listening to other songs but I end it to quickly to enjoy it.
I take out my homework from my backpack and work a few Algebra problems. I fix my bulky glasses so that the sit at the bridge of my nose and continue to hum along to Good Girls by Carrie Underwood.
By the time I've arrived to my bus stop I've finished half of my homework. I shove it back into my backpack and stand up when the bus takes a complete stop. I sling my backpack onto my back and quickly walk to the exit.
I step out and wait for Ashton and Luke to come out.
Ashton gives one last kiss to Calum and he jumps down like the child he is. Luke comes after and leaves without another word.
I sigh.
"Don't worry buddy. Maybe one day" Ashton pats my back and we both part ways to walk to our houses.
