I gently awaken curled up in my boyfriends arms. I can feel his gentle breath on the back of my neck. Every morning, I always wake up in a cocoon of his warmth; it's perfect. Slowly moving his arm from the top of my body, I stretch and stand, rubbing my eyes as I do so. It's the early hours of the morning, the time when I wake up usually on a Friday. Dan normally sleeps for another few hours - especially if he's going somewhere later in the day.

I wander off into the kitchen, pouring myself a bowl of my favourite cereal and then sitting and eating it in the living room. I turn the television on, making sure the volume is low so I don't disturb Dan's lie in. He's going out tonight with Anthony and them lot, so he needs all the rest he can get if he's going to stay out late. I would go with them but I promised my brother he could stay over tonight night as he's in London for the weekend to meet with his girlfriend or something.

It was three o'clock in the afternoon before Dan woke up. He sluggishly walked into the living room and fell into the chair beside me before planting a gentle peck on my lips.

"Morning Phil." He yawned, rubbing his eyes.

"Good afternoon." I smirked, resting my head on his shoulder.

Dan and I have been dating for the past year, but we were living together longer than that. Only our very close friends know about us as we've agreed to keep it as confidential as possible. We're not ashamed - of course we're not. We couldn't be more proud of one another. It's just we don't want or need the publicity; the attention.

"What time you going out?" I ask him as I hand the television remote over to him.

"Maybe about 6-ish," he shrugs, "they're picking me up. I wish you were coming..."

I smile slightly, "no, no you'll have a good time with or without me."

Dan grins before placing another gentle kiss on my lips, this time it lasts a few seconds longer. It feels so relaxing. His kisses are like a weight being lifted off my shoulders - giving me the sensation that I'm as light as a feather. It's magical.

Soon, my brother arrives and immediately makes himself at home. I sit and play video games with him whilst Dan showers and gets ready for his night out. Hours have passed before Anthony arrives to pick him up.

"I'll see you later." Dan says, rushing around for his keys.

"Don't drink too much," I advise him, pressing my lips on his, "have a good time."

I continue to play video games with my brother for hours before he falls asleep on the couch. I head off to bed without the comfort of my boyfriends arms. I check my phone: no messages, no calls.

And so, I head off to sleep.
