So I am an extreme novice at this so don't blame me or anything...
I hope you like this! :)

Kasta's POV
"Kasta eat your breakfast," my mother says to me as I play with the burned toast..
"Mom do I really have to?" I moan, still tired and grumpy.
"Yes, I will force-feed you if I have to," my mother threatens. I roll my eyes, nobody has fed me like that since... since forever. I take another bite and quickly swallow, trying not to taste it. My mother always makes me eat toast, every single day... It gets tiring after awhile.
But no, routine is good, random is bad. That's my parents for you, they are OCD, like very OCD. 'It's what keeps us alive,' that's what father always says. Yeah, I know we are the last of our race and all, but can't I have an actual life, with boys, friends, and parties?
Oh wait, are you lost? Okay, let me tell you something, I am a Lynx shifter, you know like a werewolf? Only not a werewolf, they do exist but my family unfortunately are not werewolves. Life would be so much easier than right now... With us Greene family being the last of our race, there used to be lots of us, we were like over a fourth of the shifter population, but then Hunters came. They found out about us and started going on a killing spree, I guess they they would still be if they had known about us Greene family.
Father comes down the stairs, still in his pajamas,"Morning everyone!" He says happily after he kisses mother. I try not to puke and quickly throw away my toast while mother is distracted.
I hear a car drive up and I look at my parents confused, nobody ever comes over to our house. I take a deep breath and freeze, I smell freshly oiled weapons, fear, and is that excitement?
Oh no, the Hunters have found us!
"Kasta, hurry go upstairs and get your sister and the emergency bag!" My mother says quickly, shooting glances between me and the door were the filthy Hunters would burst through.
"No! I want to stay and help fight!" I say stubbornly, even though part of me is quivering with fear. I'm too young to die!
"Do you want Calla to die?" My father asks me. I freeze, of course I don't, "then go get Calla and run, run to our meeting place. If we are not there in 3 hours leave- you got that?" Not trusting my voice I meekly nod, tears were streaming down my face.
Running upstairs as fast as I can, I grab the 3 emergency bags I would need, Calla's, mine, and the supplies with the money and food. I run into Calla's room and pick up the sleeping three year old.
I hear shouts from downstairs and my parents' growls and hisses. I resist the urge to turn around, I was so close to shifting.
'Do this for Calla. Do this for Calla.'
I say to myself over and over. I go through the back doors with Calla in my arms, the three bags banging against my back as I sprint toward the forests. 5 meters before I reached the forest I hear two gun shots and my parent's pain filled cries.
I would have turned around and fought the worthless humans if it wasn't for Calla who was startled awake by the commotion and started to cry.
"Shhhhh, little one. Kasta is here for you," I say as smoothly as I can while tears were streaming down my face. I start to run, as far away from my house as I can. I will not give the Hunters the satisfaction of killing off a race!

I know this is short... Writing it makes it seem much longer. Soo how was it? Please comment and give me tips, cause I know I need some. Was there any grammar or spelling mistakes? Please don't be too negative, I don't do negative stuff.
Oh yeah this is not a romance story, so if you are looking for some action on that part, you are reading the totally wrong story(I haven't even gotten my first kiss yet, lol), you may find something else though that may capture your interest...
(=^ • ^=) 😜
