Lightning Crusader

Chapter 1

On a beautiful day Arcadian a sixteen year old was enjoying his last day at Earthen Superior High School (a school were gifted students come to learn their abilities, it looks like a normal school but it's like a castle inside) the school is outside of the city, so they won't disturb the kids there. It's his last day being there, he finally gets to graduate with his class, along with his friends. Arcadian driving on his way home in his black Dodge Ram 3500 which has two stoke pipes on the back (he gets it modified to dually and instead of gasoline it gets diesel fuel). His home is out in the middle of the woods, with only one drive way, and many back roads but nobody else knows. His house is a three story, with a basement that is big as a class room. And it may seem not as big from the outside, but it looks huge when you enter it. Arcadian walks in the house, "Mom I'm home" Arcadian asked "I'm in the kitchen" replied Serena "How your day was" Serena asked. Arcadian replied "Pretty good other than hearing things and seeing things; but other than that pretty descent. The truth is that his whole life will change because he's been chosen for something that he did not expect.

On Aurora Arcadian's true home (he doesn't remember). Aero a fellow servant to the king walked into the throne he got down on one knee "You sure he is up for the task" Aero asked "I'm sure of it" replied the mysteries man.

Arcadian was sitting outside at school on the fountain's edge with his best friend James. They have been friends since kindergarten ever since kids started picking on James, because of his talents with dancing and martial arts. "Dude you okay?" James asked Arcadian replied "yeah why do you asked "James said "well you look different" Arcadian replied "how so?" When Arcadian looked in the bottom part of the fountain where he was sitting on the edge; he did looked different. He had long black hair with red streaks in it. His eyes were red. He had fangs; but the scariest thing ever is that his senses were five times stronger. He could smell somebody from where he is, to the center of town; his sight was so precise that he could see things in a blink of an eye, he could not feel pain at all, and his hearing is so acute and precise that he could hear things from inside the school or anywhere. Plus he could tell what's going to happen when he blinks.

Arcadian got on the bus and headed home and ran inside to find Serena. "Mom can I ask you something" Arcadian asked? "Sure sweetie" Serena replied. "Why do I look like this" Arcadian asked? Serena replied "I should have told you long ago, but okay I'll tell you the truth the whole truth, when you were born; you had abilities that you and your father did not expect. We noticed that your senses were stronger than we expect. But that when your father seen what you can do, he wanted to make sure that you are safe from anybody. So he left and son after you were thirteen, we got a message that your father" Serene sobbed. Arcadian asked "what, what happened to him" She replied "they found him lying in a bed of hay he was dead" Arcadian questioned "why did he have to leave he could helped us" "He had to protect you, by paying the price" Serena said.

Next day Arcadian had major problems now since he has abilities that nobody expected. "Wow look at the kid, yeah what's wrong with him, he's weird," he could hear what their thinking. "Don't worry about them" James said "you sure man" replied Arcadian. "Positively" James replied back. All of sudden this girl with dark brown long hair, tall like 5ft 8in, wearing a cowgirl hat, boots, nice shirt, and blue jeans came over. "Hey guys what you are up to" asked Michaela "dude you okay" asked James when he looked at Arcadian. In fact Arcadian was just nervous because he had a crush on Michaela, ever since middle school but he never talked to her, she was the most popular girl ever; but she loved handing out with the unpopular kids. "Hey Arcadian you okay" Michaela asked. "Oh sorry not much just relaxing" he replied. "You guys want to go to the Barn tonight, me and my friend Jasmine are going you want to come" She asked "I would be honored" replied Arcadian. "Can't because I have to go to the fair with Tasha tonight soon" Tasha pulled up and honked her horn. "Well there's my ride, see yeah guys" James replied. Both Michaela and Arcadian replied "okay see yeah".

Later on that night at the barn everyone was sitting around the bomb fire, "Michaela I got a question" Arcadian asked? "Sure" Michaela replied. "Do you like me" Arcadian asked? "Yeah why" she replied. "Well because I wanted to know if you would like to go out with me" he explained. Michaela asked "I would love to" She leaned over and kissed him and Arcadian's legs were about to fall because he was in love like no other, his heart was beating so hard it felt like it was going come out of his chest. "Hey need a ride" asked Arcadian "sure oh and you want to go to pizza hut tomorrow, I'm off at five?" Michaela asked. Arcadian replied "sure" After a long time Arcadian and Michaela were dating for 4 months.

"Mom I'm home" Arcadian Said. He went into the kitchen and found her on the table her shirt was ripped off and her favorite skirt was pulled up. "MOM wake up, wake up" Arcadian said. He roared "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" His body started to change a lot. He took off at like fifty miles per hour. By following the scent of the intruder, he found the person in an alley way between two buildings with dead end, he look at the person who killed his mother, "you shall die for what you did to my mom" Arcadian screamed. He lunged forward, the killer didn't have time before Arcadian flipped him over and took the knife that the killer had (he used on Arcadian's mother) hurled it into the killer's heart then ripped his heart right out of his chest and throws it on the ground. The killer's body just stayed then fell, the ground was covered with blood. After that he went home buried Serena near a huge amount of palladium, went back and washed up.

Next day Arcadian was still depressed and sad till Michaela came over and she knew something was wrong. "You okay" asked Michaela. "My mother was killed but I found the murderer and took care of him" she replied "wow" Arcadian replied back "yeah, and I buried her under a large amount of palladium, tomorrow is the funeral if you want to you can come". "You sure" Michaela asked. He replied "yeah". Next day, everyone that knew Serena and Arcadian came to the house, and gathered around. A Pastor came over and spoke "Serena, you will be missed; you always went to church and asked for forgiveness. And spoke out with so enthusiastic words. You changed many lives, so has your son. May God be with you and he is happy that one of his children has joined him in Heaven". Arcadian came up and said "Mom, I loved you ever since I was a child, you cared for me, helped me through so much and I will protect those are deeply important to me".

Everyone got in their cars and drove away. Sean a fellow police officer and a great friend of Serena, and Arcadian's godfather came over and handed him a pendant that had blue quarts Sapphire in the middle surrounded by palladium; and the deed to the house and the land along with it. "Your mother would be proud of what a character you are" Sean said. After Sean left, Michaela came over and asked "Hey, I got a question" "Sure" Arcadian said. "Is it okay if I live with you" Michaela asked. "I don't mind at all" Arcadian said holding her hand.

After two months living together is was peaceful as ever. Until one day Arcadian had to go some get some wood to feed the fire, while he was doing that, he was struck by a lightning bolt. "Where am I" Arcadian asked "You are summoned to be what you are mend to be, whether you like it or not. Be in peace we will summon you when we need to" The council said. Arcadian work back up in his home on the couch. "You okay sweetheart" Michaela said. "Yeah" he replied. He knew something was going to happen, but could not figure it out he needed answers but he didn't where to get them.
