Chapter 14

After the battle with Gabriele, Arcadian was at home on the couch with bandage wraps on his shoulders along his upper arm, around his stomach, his hands, and his feet. Before that happened Arcadian was walking to the house, kneed, and then collapsed onto the ground; Michaela and Aria took Arcadian straight to the hospital. It took five to six hours to wake him. The doctors said "He's going to be okay: he suffered three broken ribs, torn muscles on both shoulders, he pulled every muscle in his hands, and sprang both feet" Michaela started crying right when he said that. She thought; he was never able to recover. "May I go see him" Michaela said. "Yes, you can" The doctor said. Arcadian was lying in the hospital with bandages on him, relaxing with a book in his hand. Michaela ran over to him and gave him a hug holding him tightly, soon Aria came in and raced over to him and gave him hug. "How you doing Dad" Aria said. "Well as you can see, I'm pretty decent. Sore but I'll be okay" Arcadian responded. After three months of recovering Arcadian was able to leave. "Hang on sir, let me undo your eye bandage" Doc said. "You guys want to see something really cool" Arcadian asked. Michaela and Aria said "Sure". Doc undid his eye bandage; his right eye was dark red. And a scar that went from his lower forehead down to his upper cheek. Aria said "HOLY" Michaela responded "CRAP". Arcadian laughed, soon Aria, Michaela, and Arcadian headed home. As soon as they got home, Aria called "Sky, come here boy somebody's home". Sky came running down the steps and sat on the ground wagging his tail. Arcadian kneed and started petting him. "He's been lying on your side of the bed since you been in the hospital" Michaela said. Arcadian stood went outside and so did Sky and started playing fetch for a while. Soon Arcadian went back inside and wrapped his arms, his feet, his chest, shoulder, and hands up, he went back down stairs and relaxed in the recliner till Aria came over, and "how long do you have to keep those on" Aria said. "For four weeks, then I'll be able to be free, but for now I have to keep them on, during the day, and at night. I can take them off during the evening". Arcadian explained. "I hear you like a guy in school" Arcadian said. "How did you know" Aria asked. "Your mom told me, and don't worry, I won't try to scare the man. You know us fathers; we have to find out if it's okay if our daughters can date guys. And to find out if he's good enough for you girls" Arcadian said. "I know Dad, but I don't want to date him quiet yet till you meet him, we're just friends right now" Aria said. "You're doing the same as me and your mom did when we were your age" Arcadian laughed.

It's been 19 years since Serena, Arcadian's mom died, every day ever since that day he always went to the grave site and looks though the glass. Even through time, she was still beautiful as ever, like nothing was done to her. Michaela always was beside him when he was there. Aria never got to meet her, but Arcadian always told her about Serena. How she was an amazing person, care, loving, and always had the biggest strongest heart of all. He even showed Aria the pendant that Serena had, Arcadian wore it every day, polished it, and cleaned it. Every time he did it, it looked brand new like nothing has been done to it. "Your mom would be proud of how you are with me and Aria, and how you work constantly to the job done, no matter injured you are" Michaela said. "I know, and she always liked you, you were like a daughter to her, she even said that if I didn't be with you, she would rise from that grave site and slap me silly till I married you" Arcadian said trying not to cry. Michaela held Arcadian, while he cried. "I know and trust me, I bet she is really happy up there watching over us right now" Michaela said.

Day after Arcadian went to see Serena, he went to the gym, exercise, and soon went into town to get some wood from his friend Terry "Hey Terry what's up" Arcadian said. "Not much and I got your wood ready to go" Terry said with excitement. "Thanks and here" Arcadian got the wood and gave $20.00 bucks for the wood. "I don't need it" Terry rejected. "No keep it, it's for getting the wood and stuff I need, and for being there when my mom died" Arcadian said. "True, and hey that's what family is for to be there no matter what" Terry responded. "Yeah, well I must be getting home I got work I have to do" Arcadian said. "Okay later" Terry replied.
