I slept in Draco's room on the last day of the break. He and I quietly giggled as we remembered all the silly moments throughout our six years at Hogwarts.

"Your hair first year was absolutely ghastly." I snickered.

"Like yours was any better!" He exclaimed.

"I thought you liked my curls!" I poked his side.

"You can't deny they were a bit wild." He teased.

"Fine, but at least I didn't smother it in hair gel!"

"I like to look clean and polished."

"Right," I rolled my eyes. "You looked as if someone ran you over during our third year."

"Did not!" He argued.

"Did so. Especially after the Hippogriff knocked you over!"

"That beast hurt me on purpose!"

"The silly animal only hurt you because you were being a slimy git! You nearly had the thing killed."

"Hardly, the stupid animal escaped." He scowled.

I smiled, knowing Hermione, Harry and I released Buckbeak while using Hermione's Time Turner.

"You looked disastrous the year you dyed your eyebrows blue." He grinned.

"That was an accident!" I folded my arms over my chest. I would never dye my eyebrows blue on purpose, obviously!

"You redeemed yourself at the Yule Ball." He smiled faintly.

I raised a brow as a smile tugged at my lips. "And how exactly did I redeem myself?"

"You looked so beautiful," He said quietly

"You looked so beautiful," He said quietly. "I couldn't take my eyes off you."

"Well, although you looked handsome at the ball, you haven't quite redeemed yourself yet, Malfoy." I pushed him down onto the bed, looking into his sparkling grey eyes.

"And how will I do that?" He frowned.

"I haven't decided," I wrapped my quilt around myself before I laid next to Draco. "Bonne nuit."

"Good night." He pressed his lips to my forehead just as I closed my eyes.

For once, I felt safe.

"Bohn-jurre, Iris!" Professor Slughorn greeted me on the first day back. I cringed at his awful pronunciation. He does mean bonjour, right?

"Bonjour. Comment-allez vous?" I replied, waiting to see how much French he actually learned over the break.
