A year passed, and I continued to spend my days as an Auror. Though there was hardly any trouble, I enjoyed the time in the Ministry not only with Harry and Ron, but Draco, too, who Kingsley offered a job.
Kingsley Shacklebolt finally gave me the will of my grandmother, which initially stated all her belongings went to her son (my father), but considering I was next in her bloodline, her money and any things that survived the first war and fire went to me.
In the next few years, Marietta worked with her mother, but vowed she would not be anything like the woman. She kept her promise, and also hired Rebecca.
Gerard Willerby stayed in Europe for some time, but eventually gave his fathers position to Marietta which he would have initially taken, but he decided to leave for America.
Harry and Ginny married, as did Ron and Hermione. And though she is not married yet, Marietta and Roger Davies have been dating for quite some time now! Cho met a dashing Muggle, who actually had a few friends in the wizarding world. They have not been together for long, but she seems to really fancy him. Luna had not married by this time either, but grew fond of a young man named Rolf Scamander. As for Rebecca, well, she and Stewart were unofficially together (she still refuses to have ever fancied him, but I suspect they'll be married soon) It was so wonderful to have all our friends in one place at these gatherings, worry free of the world around us.
Draco and I took a well needed trip to the Éclatant beach home. We were making plans for our future home together.
All was well...
but it does not quite end there.
