[ 10 ] Road Trip
That night, Giselle and I got ready to go out with Jonathan and Giovani. The two brothers had called our parents and told them we were all going to Vallarta, to spend time on the beach since they missed the clear blue beaches of Mexico. The real excuse for that was one the four of us knew well. Jona and Gio wanted to go out partying without getting my sister and I into any trouble, which was highly unlikely because the press liked following the Dos Santos brothers around, especially when they went clubbing.
My parents were okay with us going out with them. They were family friend and had their trust. And my mom was hoping for Jona and Giselle to get back together, or Gio and I to start dating.
Giselle and I packed out bags for a weekend on the beach.
The Dos Santos brothers arrived to pick us up at five in the afternoon, and the drive to Vallarta would be about four hours. Gio parked his car in the driveway, while Jona remained in the front passenger seat. Gio walked up to me and took my bags, "Let me help you with that, Kam." He grinned, trying to come off as a gentleman, but I knew better.
I rolled my eyes at him. "Thanks Gio."
Giselle watched her ex-boyfriend sat in the car in outrage. In the next second, her eyes narrowed into thin slits. Before she could say anything, Gio saw her reaction and called for his younger brother. "Don't be rude, Jona. Help our female friends." By that, he meant Giselle because Gio had already opened the trunk and set my luggage in there, next to his.
"But you're already helping Kam." Jona shrugged his shoulders and a smirk formed on his lips.
"Ayudame, Jona!" Help me, Giselle whined.
She could have easily done it herself, but she wanted him to help her. She wanted him to prove to her that he was a gentleman. Jona took one look at her and he was convinced. He always had a soft spot for Giselle and her tantrums. The younger footballer climbed out of the car and hurried to her side. Taking her luggage from her, he asked, "Happy now?" And went to place it in the trunk.
When Gio closed it, Jona went around to the passenger side and pushed his seat forward to allow my sister and I to sit in the back. Just as I was halfway into the car, Gio shook his head, "Kam has to sit in the front with me. You and Giselle can sit in the back so you can kill each other with glares." He had added the last part jokingly. Giovani enjoyed seeing Giselle and Jona argue because their childishness kept him entertained. To him, he knew that deep down there was nothing they wanted more than to be with each other. And it was something I had noticed as well.
Without even protesting, Giselle climbed into the back seat and Jona did as well. Then I pushed the seat back to its original place and climbed in to sit next to Gio who would be the one driving.
Giselle and I waved goodbye to our parents and Gio drove down the street.
We were off to Puerto Vallarta.

The ride was nearly five hours because of all the stops. Giovani had his music playing loudly and occasionally he and Jonathan would burst out singing the lyrics. The latter half of the car ride was when I took over the music. I connected my iPod to the AUX cable and Giselle and I were singing lyrics while Gio looked bored out of his mind and Jona looked out the window for lack of something better to do.
We stopped one hour into our short road trip because we wanted to see a lake that we spotted from the highway. It was called La Vega and even though we only stopped for fifteen minutes at their rest stop, that was enough time for Gio to pick me up and throw me into the lake, which he thought was funny.
Jona tried to do the same to Giselle, but she ran away from him.
The second time we stopped, it was at another small town in Jalisco, where we bought something to eat. That took up another half hour of out time.
When we arrived in Vallarta, it was ten at night.
The night clubs Giovani wanted to go to were already open and we all got ready to leave. The Dos Santos brothers had booked two hotel suites; one for the two of them and one for my sister and I.
At eleven thirty, they knocked on our door, I had showered and changed into a simple dress. My hair was brushed out and left in its natural state, while my sister seemed like she had dressed to impress. She wore a little black dress that clung to her body, high heels and light make up.
Before opening the door, I wiggled my eye brows at her. "Looking good, Giselle. You're going to make Jona drool all over the place."
She smiled wide. "You think so?"
"Yep." I nodded.
"You should have let me help you dress up a bit more..." She began, "Sexy."
I shrugged my shoulders. "I like dressing simple."
And if Gio didn't like it, then that didn't matter to me. I wasn't dressing up to impress him, I only wanted to be myself.
I finally opened the door to see the two of them standing there. Jona's eyes immediately went to find Giselle and he seemed like he was pleasantly surprised. He was too awed to even speak. But Gio was the one to speak first. "You girls look great." He grinned.
Jona only nodded in agreement.
I bit my lip. "You don't have to lie to me, Giovani."
He quickly shook his head, "I'm not."
I stepped out into the hallway and Giselle did the same. We closed the door to our suite and we followed them down the hall.
Tonight would be my first time going to the club. The three others I was going with already had experience going.
