"michael, you have been staring at your phone for like three hours. what in the hell could you be doing?" calum questioned coming to stand behind me.
"nothing," i grumbled quickly standing up and walking away.
how am i supposed to tell him that i texted the wrong number and got some random chick that i would like to talk to? i mean how weird and desperate does that sound? honestly it'd just be nice to talk to someone i don't know. someone who doesn't know anything about me; the weird, emo kid from school who plays guitar. no one knows what it's like to lose a best friend. no one knows what it's like to have that pain inside you. on the outside i can act like i've moved on, but on the inside i still have a hole that won't go away. i just need someone to talk to that will understand me.
the thing is, i don't know if she'll even want to talk to me.

these chapters are going to be short probably. i can update quickly and more often if i do it this way. they will be a little longer the farther i get into the book :)
