Diary Entry

Love can be a defining moment for some. For me, it was more like the lost and found. It either slipped from your grasp; never to be found, or lost in a distant land for some time awaiting its return.

Be careful of what you wish for because it can catch up with you. Don't be in denial about the what-ifs because they just might happen. And if you run away from your truth, you're subject to fall captive.

Victimizing my truth is my greatest fear...

"Uh ohhh, I see somebody's doing their work for once." I sighed at the sound of Cory's voice as he got comfortable in the computer desk next to me.

"Leave." The smack of my gum echoed throughout the library silence.

"Aye now." He rubbed along my shoulder. "Is that any way to treat your fellow Fallout?" He smiled mischeviously. "You know I've attempted murder before."

"Says a lot." I shrugged.

"Yeah." He nodded. "You should be scared." My eyes rolled.

"Cory you're nothing but a weedless square." I shook my head. "You couldn't kill a roach if your life depended on it." I summed.

"Psshh." He rolled his eyes. "That's why I kill spiders instead." He crossed his oversized arms over his chest.

"Boy what do you want?" I smacked.

"Ole mean ass."  He exaggerated.

"Ole annoying ass." He pushed my arm as he smacked his lips obviously mocking me.

Giving him my signature side-eye, Cory played with his brows causing me to break into a smile. "See there's that puerrrty smile." I cut my eyes once again. "I almost thought you didn't have teeth." He exaggerated even further.

Breaking my attitude with a sigh. I leaned in for a hug. I couldn't be attitudish with Cor even if I really wanted to.

Giving me a light peck on the forehead, he leaned over locking eyes with my journal.

"Whatcha writing about anyway?" He reached for my notebook just as I swatted his hand away.

"Damn. Aggressive much?"

"This-" I held the journal to my chest. "Is off-limits." I proceeded to put it in my bag sealing the zipper.

"What you be writing? Poetry or som' ?" He said mockingly.

"Uh no." I said sarcastically.

"Oh I know." He nodded brushing underneath his hairless chin. "You be writing about your dark fantasies."

"My what?" I giggled.

"You know?" He shrugged as if I knew exactly what he was implying. "The ones that involve..." His hand went back and forth between he and I.
