Till Kingdom Come

*Thursday Morning*

It's been two days since the party, I've still not spoken to Harry. If he really wants me back he would have come and told me by now.

Yesterday I spent the entire day with Ashton and got to know him a little better he's actually really nice, and that kiss we had on the night of the party still hasn't left my mind it was perfect but I can't go out with someone yet, it's too early.

Right now I'm walking into school, I have a feeling today is going to be a long day. I wonder through the gates and into the school building, I cut through the field to get to the sixth form block when I notice a familiar person towards the corner of the field, his curly hair is no stranger to me, I attempt to look at what he's doing, he's just standing around waiting.

I see someone sprint across the field to him but I'd notice his blonde hair anywhere, it's Ashton. What is going on?

~Harry's POV~

"Where are you?" I ask angrily down the phone.

"I-I I'm coming now"

"Yeah well hurry up" I demand ending the call.

The stupid bastard thinks he can get away with kissing Lucy and spending the whole day with her. She needs to spend time with me not him.

I notice Ashton running across the field, he arrives breathless, I see the fear in his eyes already.

"Look who do you think you are kissing my girlfriend"

"I was just comforting her because you broke her heart"

"THAT WASN'T MY FAULT" I clench my jaw and fists the anger is beginning to take over my body

"I told her she needs to speak to you but she doesn't want to and I'm not surprised"

I hit him hard in the stomach he lets out a little squeal and curses under his breath.

"She needs someone who would treat her right, not cheat on her"

"That's it" I hit him across the head so he falls onto the floor, I tower over him, I bring up my fist to punch again.

"STOP HARRY DON'T HURT HIM" I hear someone squeal.

I turn around to see Lucy looking really scared, I drop my fist and let him go.

"Harry how could you do this?" Lucy asks helping Ashton up.

I look at his blood shot cheek from where my fist had come into contact with it. Why do I feel all this guilt taking over me?

"Look I'm-"

"Save it Harry you've done enough, don't ever talk to me again"

She helps Ashton walk, he's half bending over because I hit him in the stomach, I never meant to hurt him badly. He just made me so angry, I couldn't keep control of it.

Now I've just lost Lucy, I loved her so much, I can't believe I've just let her slip away so easily.

My phone lights up and vibrates signalling I have a text I take a look at the name, Jessie:

Hey babe where are you I miss you xxxxx

She's so annoying, my phone vibrates again, this time the text is from Zayn:

Just seen Ashton I'm proud of you mate I'm happy you and Lucy aren't together anymore now she's all mine ;)

Zayn can't go near her! I won't let him, she may hate me but I'm not letting him anywhere near her.

~Lucy's POV~

"Are you sure you're going to be alright?"

"Yeah I'll be fine" Ashton replies adjusting the ice on his cheek "why did you date him?"

"Because I thought he changed but clearly he hasn't"

"I'm sorry"

"It's not your fault, it's mine for thinking he'd changed"

"Do you still love him?"

"I-I don't know"

Do I still love him? I can't answer that myself, I think part of me always will but he has no right to be so violent.

"Oh ok, well we should get to class seeming as though we missed registration"

We make our separate ways towards our first lesson, mine's Chemistry, I'm next to Louis and Niall so that's alright I guess.

I walk up the killer two flights of stairs and walk in just in time. I take my seat in between Louis and Niall.

"Where were you in reg?" Louis asks.

"With Ashton"

"Ooh Lucy likes Ashton" Niall teases.

"Shut it Niall"

"Sorry about him he's just a little over excited"

"Why?"

"He's got a date with Claire"

Claire is a close friend of mine, we don't hang about all the time together but we go shopping together, she's had a crush on Niall for ages so I'm kind of glad they're going out.

"That's great, when you going out?"

"Saturday I'm taking her to the beach then Nando's, after that we watch the sun set back on the beach"

"That's so sweet, now I want to date you"

"So what's happening between you and Harry?"

"Well I kind of said I never want to see him again"

"But you're still wearing his necklace" Louis points to my necklace.

He's right, ever since Ashton gave it back to me I've not taken it off.

"I guess I like it"

"Or you still like him"

"I don't know, do I?"

"Well you two have history, I'll tell him he needs to win you back"

"But what if I don't want him back?"

"You do, I can tell you still like him, and you're still wearing the necklace so you clearly do like him, I think you should just give him time"

Should I?
