Luke's POV

I was in my apartment all day after seeing Lexi until out of no where Calum and Michael decided to come over. They have their own apartment together yet somehow, they always end up at mine. Calum was bragging about some new band he found that he couldn't get over and Michael and I were playing Fifa, which I beat him at.. Calum and Michael were arguing about bassists and guitarists claiming that one was better than the other until I got bored and decided to call Lexi.

I heard her crying on the other end and invited her over. I know I had just met her last week, but I enjoyed hanging out with her today and I wanted to keep seeing her.

"Bassists do it deeper" Calum shouted at Michael.

"Cal shut up!" I yelled back. They should both know that singers do it best. I shook at my head at them when I then heard the doorbell and jumped from the couch.

"Somebody's a little happy" Calum laughed.

"Hey Luke, why don't you ever jump when I get here?" Michael laughed also. I rolled my eyes and ignored him walking to the door and opening it seeing a worn out looking Lexi. Her eyes were a little red and swollen from crying. I pulled her into a hug with her head resting on my chest. She was only about 5'3 so it felt a little awkward cause I was probably a giant to her.

"Luke stop hugging your girlfriend and let us meet her!"

"Who's that?" She laughed pulling away.

"My friends. There's no way they'll leave so if they annoy you in any way, you have permission to hit them" I told her.

Lexi giggled and walked past me entering the apartment. Her fucking giggle. 

"Hi guys" She waved at them. She didn't even sound sad anymore.

"Dude, she's hot" Calum said looking at her like if he's never seen a girl in his life.

"Can she be my girlfriend instead of yours" Michael added.

"She's not my girlfriend!" I told them again. You can never get anything through these two.

"Chubby cheeks there is Calum and the one with weird hair is Michael." I pointed to them.

Lexi laughed and made her way to the couch sitting between them.

"So you're Michael, Luke's favorite person in the world." She said looking at him then at me smiling. Her smile. Damn it Luke, stop thinking about her. You just met her.

"He can't help it, I'm the best"

"Cute. I'm gonna call you guys muke. You know like Louis and Harry are Larry, you guys will be muke."

"Please don't." I groaned. Calum called us that once and wouldn't stop the whole night.

"Too bad. I support Muke" She shrugged smiling. Great.

"So what were you guys even doing before I came?"

"Beating Luke's ass in Fifa."

"Shut up Michael, I beat you 3 times." I scoffed. Michael can't play Fifa to save his life.

"She doesn't need to know that" He argued back. What a show off.

"I bet I can beat Luke" Lexi spoke up.

"A girl that can play Fifa. Nice." Calum smiled at her. He better not try anything with her.

"So what do you say Lucas, you up for it?" She looked back up at me.

"You're on"

It was an hour later and Lexi beat me 2 times. No matter how hard I tried to beat her, she got me to it. We were now on the 3rd game and we were both at a tie. It was getting intense until I felt her leg brushing against mine. I ignored it, or at least tried, but her body moving every time she got excited about the game resulted in her touching me again and I got distracted.

"YES" Lexi screamed standing up. She's adorable when she's excited.

"Damn Hemmings, you just got beat by your girl. Again" Calum laughed. Damn it, Lexi.

"Where did you learn how to play?" Michael asked. 

"Soccer is a very big thing in my family. I only have a sister so most of my guy cousins taught me every thing I know." She shrugged. "Anyway, this was fun and all but I have to get home guys" Lexi said reaching for her jacket.

"Aw come on just stay for a while longer." Michael begged.

"Unless you guys want me to get in trouble, then no." She laughed grabbing her phone off the table. "I have class in the morning"

"Oh come on! You could miss it." 

"No actually, I can't. I got to go but it was nice meeting you guys." She hugged them both and made her way to me but I told her I was going to walk her out. We walked in a comfortable silence to her car until I spoke up.

"You know that wasn't cool what you did back there." I said grabbing her hand toward me.

"Do what?"

"Distract me. You did that on purpose."

"Oh Luke" She laughed brushing her long hair behind her ear. "You're just a sore loser"

"Am not" I huffed leaning against her car, forcing my arms across my chest.

"Mhm" She hummed, leaning next to me. "Sure"

"I will beat you next time Lexi."

"Next time?"

"Yeah- I mean, if you ya know, want to" I stuttered. I noticed a small blush come across her cheeks and it was quite cute.

"Maybe" She confirmed. I hugged her goodbye and waited until she drove away to get back into my apartment. I was already going to get a never ending earful from the boys. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair, just thinking about Lexi. I heard a glass break from inside just as I was outside my door and prepared myself for what I was about to get into. I walked in and immediately fingers were pointing at each other followed by a "He did it". Great.
