Hey guys. I know it's literally been forever since I updated. I'm so sorry for leaving you all hanging!!! I just seen all the comments and questions!!! I had severe writers block writing the end of this but I did have one chapter in my drafts! It's unfinished, but it's a little something. If it actually does get reads, I promise you guys I will finish this book up 🫶
I don't even know if there's anyone on here still lol... but if there is let me know what you guys think and if you want more!

Eli was laying on his bed watching TV, when he heard his front door open and heard various girl voices. He exited his bedroom, to find Jalissa, Alex, and Andrea standing up awkwardly staring at his "Uncle D", he wasn't his biological uncle, but he was a long time friend of his fathers.

"Oh wassup you guys?" He greeted. Everyone just looked towards him.

When there was no response from anybody he asked, "What's wrong?"

He was at first thrown off when he seen Andrea, but even more thrown off by the tension in the room...and why there was even tension.

"My dad?" Jalissa asked in confusion. She had been around this man many times before thinking he was just a close family friend. Never would she ever think that they'd be related in any kind of way.

Danny stood there baffled. "Andrea...this is our daughter...really?" He asked admiring Jalissa. Even though he'd been around her a lot he never seen himself in her. Or maybe he never noticed it. He was astonished that his child stood in front of him. Especially, his pregnant child.

"I need to speak to you." Andrea said to Danny in a very serious tone, her Spanish accent thick. She walked out the front door, as Danny followed her.

Jalissa just stood there with a blank expression on her face.

"Baby, what's the matter?" Eli asked walking towards Jalissa.

"My mom said Uncle D is my dad." She answered, taking a seat on the couch, and then looking up at him in disbelief.

"Your dad?" He asked oddly. "How?"

She shrugged her shoulders. "I've never met him before. He left when I was a baby."

Everybody sat there in silence, not exactly knowing what to say. Alex took a seat next to Jalissa, and took Jalissa's hand in hers sympathetically. Jalissa smiled back politely, but felt like she was about to throw up. This was too much for her.

The door suddenly flung open, and Andrea beckoned Jalissa outside. Jalissa got up and walked outside slowly, and when she stepped outside her mom stepped inside and closed the door behind her.

A few moments of silence passed before it was broken,

"Hey, Jalissa. I know how you must feel right now. I know this is a lot to wrap your head around right now. I just want to take this time to apologize, for one. For walking out on you and your mom, that was the biggest mistake I could ever make. I've missed the growth of my beautiful daughter. " He said sympathetically.

Jalissa just stood there looking at him expressionless, but nodded politely.

"If you're not ready to talk to me, I understand." He sighed.

Jalissa nodded her head and slowly made her way back into the house. She was not trying to be rude at all, but she just didn't know what to say at that moment. She was a cluster of emotions and she needed her time.

When she walked inside, everyone's eyes were glued to the side of her face. She didn't say a word, she just headed to the back.

Eli quickly hopped to his feet to follow behind her, but Andrea grabbed his arm and shook her head. She knew her daughter. She knew she needed her space. She knew she was going to go take a shower and try to make sense of everything. She just needed a little time, and she'd be fine in the morning.
