I woke up a few hours later, by then they had more than enough time to lock me up as well as they could, but as we learned last time...if the guards are idiots I'll have my fun. I grinned widely right when that woman came in and looked at me with a sad expression.
I didn't take much notice before but you could see in her face that she'd been through a lot.
"Why the hell are you with them?" I said lowering my head, refusing to look at this woman.
I heard sniffling sounds, but kept my sight down.
"I did it so I could come find you...but...", she said interrupted by loud sobs, "...they took your sister too".
I looked up at her and just stared into her eyes. It can't be true...my sister was always normal. She never did anything bad, she always had godo grades and listened to adults.
" Why the hell did you let them take her?!!!" I yelled trying to knock her down, the chains keeping me back.
"Because I was here...looking for you. I couldn't keep her powers down", she said reaching out and touching my cheek gently.
I felt a shiver down my spine when she touched me helping calm down. " Why don't you melt...?" I said looking away.
"Because I'm a null. My power is to block other powers.", she said petting my head gently and hugging me close.
I closed my eyes and thought back to the last things I said to her...I wasn't the best son at the time...
