After a while the voices outside the closet went quiet and I peeked my head out.
No one was there.
I let out a sigh of relief and walked out the closet but when I looked into the mirror I couldn't believe it.
"I..I'm..a boy?!!!"
I was a girl last time I checked and now I'm a boy?!!! Why the h*ll am I a boy?!!! I looked around and read what one of the screens said.
"Nature changing closet. This artifact changes the gender of whoever steps inside of it. What the h*ll does that mean?"
I looked at the mirror again. Maybe it wasn't such a bad thing...I could try escape like this, but my hair is to long for a boy.
I sighed and used my fingertips to melt my long hair to above shoulder length and walked out the room.
There was no one in the hall anymore, maybe they went look somewhere else. I walked down the hall calmly wondering if they would realize its me.
I turned right in a corner and a woman just ran into me out of nowhere. Sh*t if she melts I'm done for!
I waited for her skin to turn to liquid but nothing happened. She just kneeled down and started picking up the pile of papers she was carrying.
"Aren't you going to be a gentleman and help an old woman out? After all you were the one that caused this.", she said trying to order the papers again.
I kneeled down too and picked up some of the papers. For a second I didn't think, what was she going to say when the papers melt. I just stared at my hands in disbelief...
...they didn't melt away just like her.
