Camilla's POV

the drive to max's house was not as I expected. I expected it to be long and silent and uncomfortable, but he just kept on making me laugh, giving me hilarious pick-up lines and occasionally kissing my hand.

I feel stupid because Max is just a stranger. but a part of me insists this is right. i'm not a relationship kind of girl. I will definitely not do that and especially not with a renowned playboy like max.

I kept repeating a famous quote to myself. "Live in the moment" 

"Thinking twice about us"? Max asked.

"You, Mr . Hamilton are too full of yourself. There's no 'us' yet" I replied

I could tell that he was smirking.  

"What's funny?" I asked Max

"You may not realise it but you just said 'yet', meaning there's hope and you're also considering it. That is something I'm looking forward to" max replied.

"Just drive please" I answered back.

Max's apartment was beyond what I ever imagined. We were both rich but he had that sophistication in his house.  You could see it. Something I never got round to having even though I'm a fashion designer.  

Max came around and opened my door. He took my hand in his and we walked to the house. He had a  biometric lock which I found cool.

Make yourself comfortable he said and I jumped on his couch and sat down. He asked what I wanted to drink and I said just water.

"Knowing you for less than an hour, I can already tell that you don't want to sleep with me. At least not tonight. " max said.

"That's where you're wrong Mr. I want to, but I would not. There's a difference.  I'm sure you can feel our attraction, but that doesn't mean I'll jump to bed with you. Besides you're a renowned playboy.  What makes you think I want to join the long list of your conquests. And don't even say that the list is an exaggeration.  That's what all playboys say."

"You're a smart lady Cam. It will be my pleasure to take baby steps with you. Show you how much I enjoy your company and how much I'm looking forward to spending time with you." 

"Now that we've cleared that up, could show me to your guest room? I need to sleep. We'll talk and get to know each other in the morning. " I said to him.

"Sure. Come with me. But just so you know, I've never had a lady here and not slept with her. You're a first for me. " max said.

As we got to the room, I asked him to help me unzip my dress before he left because it was stuck. Max step closer to me. I could feel his breath on my neck and I almost moaned out loud.  the feel of his hands against my skin was electrifying.

"I'd better leave now or else I won't be responsible for what happens next. I need a cold shower to calm my friend down." He said while pointing to his trousers (pants).

"Shameless" I whispered. 

"Night cam"

"Night Max" I replied.

As he shut the door, I collapsed on the bed and drifted to the most wonderful sleep ever.
