I called you

I wanted to hear your voice

I wanted you to tell me that everything will be fine

I wanted to be reassured by you

I wanted you

To be with me

When everything seems to fall apart

When you are the only person I could run to

When I know that only you can understand

When I know that I can lean on you

Because you understand me

And love me

And saw how I suffered

The call ended.

I didn't know why

I waited for you to call

I stared at my phone,

Hoping you would leave a message

But there was none

Minutes

Hours

Days

A week has passed

No sign of you

And that's when I realized

You were like everyone else

You promised to never leave,

But left

you promise to hold on,

but you let me go

you promised to fight with me,

and now,

I'm all alone
