This was it. I could see it from far away. We only needed to drive for 15 minutes. It felt so unrealistic. As if this was a dream. We laughed till this moment. Everything turned silent apart from the shots you could hear. People like us were practising. Practising to fight the enemy. When I say ''the enemy'', people don't understand who ''the enemy'' is. Everybody is our enemy, because everyone hates us. Hmm, well not everyone. Armenia is okay I think. Most don't say bad things about us. They also had some trouble with our enemies in the past, which makes us a bit, how do you say this, similar.
Because ISIS came, everything became worse than it already was. We had our problems and now this. We are the only people e who really fight them, and no one sees this. ISIS is just a plan of all our enemies which is going out of the hand. I know this because of their sneaky plans. You don't ''accidentally'' give weapons to them, or ''accidentally'' throw a bomb on Kurds which ''was meant'' for ISIS. That's nonsense.
I saw Sarya turning pale. I knew she was scared, but she said she couldn't sit and watch this. I'm proud of her, Rezan, Loran and also myself. I stood up and walked to the chauffeur. I asked to put on some music as distraction. The last 10 minutes where spent at singing and forgetting what would happen when we would arrive...
''Little warriors, we arrived. Are you sure you want to do this? I can drive you back if you want?'' the chauffeur said. he really cared for us, I could see it clearly.
''Nahh man we're good aren't we?'' Rezan said. He can make jokes on the most inappropriate moments, that's what we like about him.
I responded: ''Of course we're good, we're not going to stop now?''
Luckily everybody agreed, with a little bit of doubt.
We stood up and grabbed our bags from the back. It was around 3:00 PM. It was hot, but there was still a little bit of cold wind sometimes. There were a few big tents . They were probably meant for sleeping and resting. There were people from all ages walking around and training. I bet we would start with just sporting.
We were welcomed by a whole group. They looked so happy to see us. One woman told me how strong we were, that we were doing this. She brought us to our tent, of course boys and girls apart from each other. My bed was next to Sarya's bed. The woman told us where everything was. She also said that we were lucky, because other camps weren't like this one. You didn't have a bed nor a roof above you.
''If you have problems or questions, just ask me. I'm mostly in the kitchen arranging everything.''
''Thank you, we sure will!'' I said
''and uhh, again welcome!'' she said with a smile.
She was a good person. A person with a heart. A person who loves others more than herself.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
''Goodmorning warriors! Everybody has 30 minutes to get ready. We expect you outside on the field at 6''
We were woken up by a loud male voice. It was probably our trainer. I got up and looked at the clock on the wall. It was just 5:30! I actually didn't care because I knew I would learn to fight. I would learn to fight our enemies...
''Lorin are you coming?'' Sarya said.
''For what?'' I said confused. I had no idea what she was talking about.
''Uhmm, for breakfast outside duhh!'' she responded.
Of course we had breakfast how could I forget! I gave Sarya a small nod and followed her outside.
We didn't have much choice. There was bread and yoghurt. We had tea and water. It was enough for me and I didn't expect some big meal. I could smell that the bread just came out of the ove. it smelled delicious!
While eating, I noticed how caring everybody was. Everybody asked each other if they wanted some bread. There wasn't much food, so I expected everybody fighting over it, but in fact, they fighted over it because they wanted to share.
''No, no I'm not hungry you can have it!''the first person said
''You are already skinny enough, just eat it!'' the second person said.
Another women asked a young boy if he wanted some bread and the same happened everywhere. They all looked like my grandma! ''Eat this, eat that, you are hungry I can see it, you are too skinny, eat for me and blablabla...
Everybody cared about each other.
After breakfast, I heard the loud male voice again. He called Sarya, Rezan, Loran and me. He wanted to show ussome other rooms. I had never seen such weapons. They were huge! How do I hold that thing if I can't even catch a ball?
On our way outside, I saw an open place. I saw soe stones and sand. They were everywhere. I knew what it was. I knew exactly what it was. I walked towards it. The male voice called me and the rest run after me. I walked and walked. Suddenly I stopped.
''Lorin what are you doing? are you okay becau.....'' Sarya said
We just stood there silent.
This couldn't be true. There were hundreds of graves there. So many died for us. But I knew I wouldn't be one of them. I just wouldn't. These weren't even all of them. So many are still somewhere in the mountains rotting till they're dust.
Hey readers! Sorry that it took sooo long. I got back from Kurdistan and it was horrible there. There was teargas every evening and you could hear shots. If I was on the roof, I could see fire going from one place to the other. People are being beat to idk what because they stand up for us, the Kurds. We were in the middle of war. At home I just needed some rest and school started so that's why it took long sooo I'm very sorryyy! Hopefully you liked this chapter! (there might be mistakes because I didn't check s plz read over them thank you:)
In the next chapter Lorin will start with training
