Sarah
Where did she go? I’m sitting at a bar, waiting for the Doctor to reappear. He’d told Mary and I to wait here after Rachel and Alura had run off, and then he’d gone looking for them. This boy had started talking to Mary, and then they started dancing. No one asked me to dance, so I’m sitting here glumly, waiting for my “responsible” guide of Vividon.
The Doctor had seemed a little concerned about Rachel, saying that it wasn’t pretty when Alura got that determined to find out something about herself from someone. Right, my friend has amnesia… still getting used to that…
I see something out of the corner of my eye, and my eyes widen. No way… was that really Justin Beiber? Is he really an alien?
I jump off the stool I’m sitting on and chase after the blond, determined to see if it is Justin Beiber. I turn a corner, and he’s disappeared. Frowning, I turn around again, expecting to see a hallway, but instead coming face to face with a dead end. “What the..?”
“We’ve been waiting for you,” a voice echoes through the room, “turn around and face us.”
I turn around slowly, strangely compelled to do as they say. My mind seems to be filled with fuzz as I look at a picture of a red, green, and yellow swirl pattern.
“Step forward, Sarah Cross,” it says.
I step forward slowly, and I feel light, free…
“You will do as I say,” it says.
She nods, “Yes, Master.”
Mary
I’m dancing with a hot lizard-humanoid alien when I notice something; Sarah isn’t at the bar. “Uh oh,” I mutter.
“What is it?” the hot lizard boy asks, “Is something wrong?”
“Oh nothing,” I chuckle nervously, “I just need to get going. I was due home an hour ago. Bye!”
Before he can protest or ask how I even got here, I slip off into the crowd to search the bar. I look around, and don’t see her anywhere. Panicking, I look around for the Doctor. I see him, with great relief, running over with a worried expression on his face. “I can’t find them anywhere. Last time this happened…”
I flinch as I remember the yelling, series of explosions, and panicking crowd. “That isn’t the only problem,” I say nervously. “I… sort of misplaced Sarah.”
“You lost her?” he hisses.
“Hey, I was asked to dance by a cute alien! I am not immune to flattery,” I cross my arms, “just don’t tell anyone I said that.”
“How do you lose a person?” the Doctor exclaims.
“You do all the time,” I point out, “you turn around to investigate an interesting target and BAM… person is lost.”
“That isn’t the point,” he mutters, “now not only Alura and Rachel are missing, but Sarah has disappeared!”
“How do we find them?” I look at him expectantly.
“How am I to know?” he asks.
“Because you’re the Doctor,” I answer, “you always know.”
“Exactly!” he whirls around and sits on a green padded bar stool.
“So what are we going to do?” I repeat myself.
“Follow the trail of chaos,” he grins crazily, “we just need to wait for it to show up.”
“Meanwhile, we should look for Sarah,” I add.
“Yes we should,” he looks troubled again, “I’ll look around here, and you look upstairs. Meet back here in an hour,” he brightens up quickly, “Be careful though, upstairs is wild! I once met a woman named Joan up there… such a woman!” he whistles, and I grimace.
“Doctor, please don’t tell me about your love life,” I say quickly, “it’s a little… awkward.”
“Love life?” he looks confused, and then that looks becomes one of shock, “No, oh no, nothing like that! Nothing like that at all!” he nearly falls off the stool. “Never like that. Never, ever like that! Ever!”
“Okay, okay, I get it,” I chuckle. “Wish me luck!” I turn around and start making my way towards the lift that takes people upstairs.
Alura
I glare at Jeff as he fidgets nervously. “Well I couldn’t tell you without giving myself away…”
“Mentally!” I exclaim, “A coded note! A freaking sign that says you’re alive! What, didn’t think again?” I lightly rap on his forehead. “Of course not! Just ignore the girl who saves the world every single day, fights her sworn enemies every week, and doesn’t have any clue whats going on!” I take a deep breath, “Okay, now I got that out. What next?”
“Alura…” he looks shocked.
I hold up my hand to stop him, “I know, and it’s best if we do this later. For now, we must get out of here. How did you get in? Is it possible to escape that same way?”
He hesitates, seems to see my logic, and shakes his head, “No, I was planning on finding an escape after the mission.”
“Well then,” I cross my arms, “you have a team now. Rachel, no protests! We are his team right now!”
“Awww,” she moans, “I hate not being the leader.”
“Well deal with it,” I roll my eyes, “So Commander Kelpbrain, what next?”
