"Carsten, I want Apollo." I said to him as we sat at the breakfast table, eating scrambled eggs, bacon and burnt toast. The burnt toast, was my fault. I didn't know there was a setting that you need to adjust in order to brown your toast. Carsten laughed it off and I smiled, because of him not minding to eat black toast. I wouldn't eat it...
Ashton burst out laughing, in turn choking on his burnt toast. I knew there was a reason for that toast to be burnt at my hand. "You want the space program where they send humans into space?" He couldn't ask that without laughing again, I wanted to shove another black bread into his throat!
"What is Apollo?" Carsten asked sweetly, squeezing my hand beneath the table. Ashton snorted and ate his like a hungered beast again.
"It's my dog." I said and smiled.
"Hey, Carsten, I didn't know you were called Apollo." He ripped from laughter, throwing his head back.
Carsten threw his chair back, landing on the floor with a bang and held Ashton's neck in his hand. Fury seeping from his enlarged veins. The anger breeched from the bond and I sat quiet. I played no part in Carsten's anger. I took a fork full of fluffy yellow scramble and chewed.
If Carsten killed Ashton now, I would be happy. I wonder how many times Carsten tried to kill his brother in the past? It must of been hell, living with that brat.
"Ashton, what have I told you about over welcoming your stay?" Ashton tried to breath. "If you can't shut your mouth, leave!" With that, Carsten shoved Ashton from his chair and unto the floor.
Carsten sat next to me again, feeling better and ate again.
"sweetie, I can't allow a dog on my territory." I was about to sip my orange juice when he told me this.
"What? You already have a dog here." I pointed towards Ashton who were getting up from the tiled floor.
"The werewolves will eat him." He said and squeezed my thigh.
"They won't. If I could have kept a dog in my old pack, I can do it here as well." My say was final, it was that or I would leave. I wouldn't actually leave, I would just make it a living hell if I can't have my brown Labrador here with me.
A sigh left Carsten's sweet lips and nodded his head. "Ashton, fetch Apollo."
Carsten stood up and left the kitchen, heading straight for his study. I followed him softly and stood in the study, his back facing me and a phone glued to his ear. He spoke to my father, asking entrance to fetch Apollo.
I saw the lines on his back, each muscle outlining the black shirt that covered his sun kissed skin. I walked to him, he still faced his back to me. My fingers traced the line, the bond grew, and I wanted.
I traced the thin shirt from the top ending at his belt at the back. He stood still the entire time and ended the call as soon as the go ahead was heard.
He spun around so quick, picked me up and placed me on the desk. His large hands separated my thighs and he was replaced between my legs. His fingers pulled me to him as they caressed my back, slipping downwards. He trashed his lips against mine, eating them with hunger. I crossed my legs around his waist, trying to pull him closer. My fingers tangled in his soft hair as his lips left mine, and travelled down the column of my neck. He found my mark, and flicked his tongue over it. A hard moan escaped my mouth and his hands found my but, fondling them softly - His claws could be felt as it gently scratched the material of my jean, releasing feelings in my stomach and my heart creaming : More.
He ripped away from me, his hand running through his hair. "My wolf wants control and I can't control him." He breathed hard.
"I want you." I said to quick, not believing that I just said that. My cheeks were coated with red as I looked away with shame.
"Don't look away from me, sweetie." He lifted my chin, standing a little bit farther away then he was mere moments ago. "My little provoker." He smiled and kissed my lips softly.
Where ever he touched magic tingled and left aches that can only be revealed through his touch. Him and only him.
He took my hand and lead me outside. All I could think about was him. I needed him and I felt feverish. I didn't get sick a lot. Unknown feelings came from inside off me. I couldn't concentrate on the outdoors as we walked on a beautiful unseen trail.
All I could think about was him and the ache inside my stomach. His hand touching mine, were concentrated. My heartbeat sped up, my palms felt clammy. I swallowed as I tried to concentrate on ignoring every feeling, it was hard.
"I don't feel so good." I said and turned to him. He immediately stopped and smelled the air. Really? Is he now trying to be a clown now?
"Your in heat." He said and looked down at me.
"It aches." I said and looked at my feet. The distance between us were closed, his lips crashed down me and he hands were on my shoulders. Whenever I tried to get closer, he held me back.
"Apollo is here." He said and broke from me, holding me at my waist. In a way, the ache was relieved, but I knew it would return soon.
We walked quicker then the pace we walked in the first place, seeing a truck parked in front of the house and a bark coming from inside the truck. Ashton stood on the stairs leading to the house. Apollo barked and the bark became louder as he noticed me. Carsten opened the door and he jumped out into the snow.
He licked my face and I had to scratch him all over other wise he scratched my legs begging for more love. I bent down and kissed the top of his head.
"Whoa! Feisty!" Ashton said behind me. "Looks like you two don't beat around the bush when I'm not home."
I stood up and immediately Carsten was behind me. "Sweetie, put on another pair of jeans."
I nodded my head, not knowing what's going on, perhaps it was the heat. I was on my way to the stairs, Ashton faced away and Carsten folded his arms.
"I found my mate." He said proudly. "She was in the same pack as Clover." Great, my old pack in deducting in numbers.
"Good, now you can leave us alone." Carsten said and I felt relieve through the bond.
"On the contraire..." I entered the house, skipping upstairs and into our bathroom.
Poor, poor mate of Ashton. I hope that he changed his ways in order for her to be content. He needs to chuck that arrogant attitude out the window and start acting his age. She will burn him if he doesn't jump at the clap of her hands.
I turned around to see my behind and what they were going on about. My cheeks blushed scarlet as I saw my jeans in the mirror. Five claw marks on each bum from Carsten when we were in his study. I couldn't believe it! He cut right through the tick material and left the marks. I shook my head in disbelieve, I have to note more carefully on what we do and the outcome of every situation.
I skipped downstairs again, in a new pair of jeans. Hearing conversation in the living room, but as I entered, I wanted to rip a throat out.
"What do you mean your leaving?" I asked with my hands folded in front of my chest.
"That Ashton and I are going to take care of a couple of rogues." He said and kissed my lips quick. "I'll be back in a few, okay?" He smiled and opened the door, Ashton left first with a smirk.
I was watching a movie when I heard someone scream in horror, calling for Carsten. I silenced the movie, and looked through the window. A figure was limping towards the front door, blood trailing behind her.
I opened the door. She stood still when she saw me. I ran to her and felt no threat as I neared her. A dark blonde with blue eyes stared back at me with disbelieve. I saw the blood spilling from her as she watched me, not blinking once.
The blood circle on her lower stomach enlarged as her blood seeped fingers clutched over the hole. Her clothes were tattered and her eyes- lifeless.
Apollo barked at the door, but didn't come close enough to bite this mangled woman.
"Who are you?" I asked as I helped her to keep her balance. She was light weight and awfully pale. I assumed that she barely got away. Why did he had to leave when a dying person turns up at our door?
"Amy." She blacked out falling into me.
