She left her desk abrubtly and went straight to the filing room. She heard this before, she knew exactly who Karen was talking about.
She searched frantically for Karen's file and once she got hold of it she calmed herself and went back to her office.
For a second she just sat there wondering and trying to put the pieces together. She had opened up the file and went back to when she treated Karen when she was five.
Just as she had thought, HE was who she drew those years ago. HE was still watching over her. She didn't understand. In the picture Karen had drawn when she was five, the tall man stood right beside her. He had no face and he wore a suit. Who was HE? Why was HE back? She had to get rid of the evidence. No one would believe poor Karen. Then, there were the pictures when she treated Karen yet again when she was ten. One of them written in such fear. In caps were HE WATCHES YOU and then this symbol. Was it a symbol of ownership? What was this creature?
She closed the file and placed it in her purse to analyze later. She took out her laptop and searched up the name Karen had given her: Slenderman. Lots of sites popped up and the images itself scared the day lights out of her. He was tall and even though he didn't have eyes, he seemed to stare into her soul. She went to one of the pages and started to read and for a second, her screen started to act all weird. Then it stopped. She didn't pay no mind to it at first, until she read that HE messed with technology. She started to freak herself out and close her laptop. HE wasn't real.
Someone had knocked so she had got up to get the door. It was Karen's mom.
"Good evening." She said brightly.
"Dr. Stewart, what's wrong with my daughter, I'm worried."
"We're just going to um, put her back on her meds and see how things go from there. We barely talked so I wouldn't be able to tell you. But, you can pick up the medication at your local pharmacy, I'll call it in." She said ending with a smile.
"Okay, I just hope it's nothing extreme."
"I don't think it is, but we'll chat tomorrow yes?"
"Yeah." She said nodding then walking out of her office.
Riley quickly packed up her stuff then also left her office. She got outside and went to her car finding herself fumbling to find her car keys. She also found herself becoming paranoid. It didn't feel right.
She finally got into her car and put the key into the ignition. She started to drive and started speeding up a little, she thought someone was following her. She couldn't take the paranoia. Once she got home she made herself some dinner to take her mind off of things but it was just too quiet.
After she ate she got on her laptop and HE was still on there. She closed the page and started to feel a little sick. She decided to take her shower early, then rest.
Sleeping just didn't happen, she was restless. Images of HIM were just pinned in her head and everything she read in that little bit of time. Everything he was capable of frightened her. She knew she should be over thinking it but she constantly looked around her room. Like every five minutes. She even shut her bedroom shades. After minutes of struggling to sleep, she finally slept. Only to be woken up by the sound of her door creaking. She sat up and hit in her lights. She looked over at the door, which was closed before, was now partly opened. She got up to shut it and go back to her bed.
What she didn't know was that HE was there, silently watching her with those eyes. Ready to strike.
She shut her eyes again but heard yet another sound before sleeping. When she opened her eyes, she immediately regretted it. In the corner of her room HE stood before her making HIMself known. She tried to scream, but nothing came out. She couldn't believe her eyes. HE just stood there, somehow watching her and knowing she was there. The scream finally came when HE made HIS way over to her. HE didn't walk no. She was far too horrified to move. HIS hands stayed down at HIS sides going past HIS knees and almost touching the floor. These tentacles coming out of HIS back. He tilted his head to the side then reached up. Her face twisted up in fear and horror and HE just sees to smile.
