I woke up, and rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I realized Zandri was standing over me smiling.

"Hi sleeping beauty!" She said.

" Why didn't you wake me up! We could have been miles away from Tosu city!" I yelled.

"Because you looked so cute when you were asleep. Plus I found two bikes in a building so I fixed them!" She said cheerfully.

We got out of our cave and got on a bike, and started peddling, until we heard gunshots. We were at least 50 miles from the cave. We kept biking, until a bullet shot missed my ear by inches.I stopped and turned around with a pistol in my hand, and shot. Then I realized who it was. It was Malachi. The bullet missed him thankfully. I don't know how he survived! He saw it was Zandri and I, and stopped shooting. He ran up to us, I saw he had a bike with him.

"Am I glad to see you guys!" Malachi said smiling.

" So are we! We thought you died!" I replied.

"No. What happened was the plant's poison wore off. If it hadn't I definitely would have died." He said darkly.

"We should get going though. Come on." I said. We got on our bike and rode along a river. We found shelter in a basement of a old, decrepit house. I took out the compass/flashlight/whistle I had and took off the shirt bandage on Zandri and cleaned her wound. She gripped onto my hand and squeezed it the whole time. I wrapped the bandage around her again. She was still crying though. I picked her up and cuddled her, she fell asleep on me. Malachi lied down on the opposite side of the basement, and fell asleep. I kissed Zandri's forehead, and went to sleep, not realizing she still was awake.
