I woke up to a rumble, the earth started to shake. I realized that it was a earthquake. By now Zandri and Malachi were up. We got up against a wall. Then half the roof caved in, Zandri crawled under me. Debris rained down, and just as I thought it was over a rock the size of a bicycle crushed my ankle. I screamed in agony, as I picked the rock off me. Zandri grabbed something from my bag, Peroxide, she cleaned my wound, as tears started to fall from my eyes. I started to scream louder everytime the liquid hit my skin, until a pair of lips were pressed on mine. I opened my eyes to see Zandri. She broke apart from me and grabbed wound tape for my ankle.
Malachi and Zandri picked me up and carried me army style. We got onto our bikes and started riding. It hurt, a lot. We the path we were on was starting to narrow, then we saw something on the road. It was a clear bag. The writing on it said, Take before told pass or fail. Inside were pills. We each grabbed one and put it in our packs.
It started getting dark as we started to see Tosu City on the horizon. We found a tree that was hollowed out that could fit all three of us. We put up some bark from the trees and covered the opening and went inside. It was a tight squeeze though until Zandri laid down right on top of me. She started running her hands through my brown hair, and I started curling her hair around my fingers. We finally drifted to sleep.
