I seem to find myself sitting here more often than my own house. I sit at this little park bench it seems just about everyday. I started coming here about a year ago, when my parents first split. It just stared by me taking long walks to get away from the house. Next thing I new I found my favorite place to sit and be by myself to think.I call it my own little place.
Not many other people come around here. I live in New York where ther are tons of people everywhere. So when I found this little area that no one went to, I fell in love with the area. To even get here you have to look hard at the tall bushes to even see that there is an opening. You can only really see the opening from a certain spot. I only found it because I was just walking around a block that was far enough away from everything. I walked around that block like four times (it was a hug block... One time around felt like one football field).
The second time I had walked around by the bushes one day I thought that I saw a clearing. By the the fourth time I knew it was a clearing so I came back around and checked it out. The clearing came to a little park. There were benches around the park and along the little sidewalks. The park looked abandoned for years. I had no idea how long this park had been here.
The little park mainly consists of a yellow, four person swing set, in which the paint was chipping off. A tall slide that was silver and and a smaller slide next to it which was also silver. It had orange monkey bars that were actually quite tall being as most of the parks I have ever been to were shorter since they are for children. Then lastly there was a carousel, one of those things that you sit on and someone outside pushes it so that way you spin to the point you get sick (I always had at least).
At school I wasn't considered very popular, but I wasn't unknown of either. I had five bestfriends. One of my best friend's was named Calum Hood. He had brown almost black hair. He had big, dark, brown eyes. He was pretty tall and had an amazing smile. He is kind of like a brother to me. Another friend of mine is Ashton Irwin. He is like the father of the whole group to be honest. He has blondish, brown curvey hair. He has brown eyes that sometimes are green. His smile is literally perfect and he is pretty tall. I love his laugh though as well. Then there's Luke Hemmings. He is actually pretty famous around our school. Sometimes I wonder why he hangs out with us but I'm glade he does. He is the tallest of us all. He has blue eyes and blonde hair. I also hang out with Jenna Payton. She has shorter hair that ends at about her shoulders. Her hair is blond as well. She has hassle eyes that glisten in the light. She is a little shorter than I am and has the most perfect teeth I have ever seen. Lastly there is Emily Rates. She has olive skin and had perircing green eyes. Her hair goes to her hips and is originally brown. She dyes her hair sometimes and as of now its purple.
I haven't told any of them about this spot yet. I like being here alone. Being able to come here and escape everything is amazing. Right now its fall and it gets kind of cold on occasions.
Since I have never told anyone about this place or even seen anyone here for the year I've been here, it was strange to see someone walk into the park. It was a guy, I think about my age. He sat down at a bench across the park from me. I could still see him from where I sat. He was pretty tall with black hair. He had green eyes. He was actually quite attractive. We made eye contact and he looked at me with a confussed expression. He furrowed his eyebrown and got up. He began to walk tword me with his eyebrows still together in confusion. Once he reached the bench I sat at he just stood there looking at me for a little while.
"How do you know this place?", he asked. "I don't know... I just found it I guess.", I replied not really wanting to tell some strange guy I just met about how I found it and why I was out in the first place. He looked at me and his eyebrows unfurrowed. He looked more relaxed and sat down next to me. He looked at me with an unreadable expression. "Hi, my name is Michael." He reached out his hand for me to shake, "Michael Clifford.". He smiled at me and I took his hand and shook it. "Destiny Walters."
He smiled a little and looked away. I heard him mutter my name a few times and smlie gently to himself. "That's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl.", he said leaving me to blush. He gave a little laugh that warmed my heart and said, "your cute when you blush, you know that?". This caused me to blush even more. "T-thank you..." I said. I can't even remember the last time someone other than my mom called me beautiful. I heard a little sound coming from the his pocket. He took out his phone and answered it. "Hello?" Then I heard some muffeled screams. "Mom... Mom I'm ok.... It fine mom.. I'm fine! I sware!" He laughed and more muffels came from the phone not yelling this time. "I'll be home soon... I promise." Then put his phone back. He looked at me, "sorry... My moms a little worried... We just moved here from Sydney Australia for my dads work. She's not used to it yet." He smiled. "Wow... That's a long ways away!" I said. He just smiled again and it made my heart flutter.
"Let me see your phone." He said. I gave him a confused look and slowly gave him my phone. He clicked around a little and smiled while giving it back. I heard his phone buz once but he didn't take it out this time. "Text me later, ok? See ya round." He gave me a smirk that made my stomach do a back flip and with that, he was gone. I decided I should probably get heading home as well so I begin to walk. As soon as I reached the opening in the bushes to get out of the park, I heard my phone go off. I took it out and looked at the text,
