The London flat of Percy Weasley and Victoria MacmillanThere was absolutely nothing Percy loved more than waking up with a strand of blonde hair stuck in his face and the feeling of Victoria's breath on his neck. Very slowly, he opened one blue eye and looked to his right side.
Sleeping with one arm crossed over his chest was a sight very few people got to see: Victoria Macmillan, snoring. If anyone were to bring it up, she would deny it, but there was living, breathing proof right in front of him at this moment.
Merlin, she was beautiful.
Carefully, Percy moved his head and softly kissed her temple. Her snore stopped mid-sound and her eyelids began to flutter open.
"Good morning," Percy muttered against her hair, softly kissing her temple once more.
"Mmph." She shifted, tightening her hold on him and buried her face in his sleep shirt. "Happy birthday, Perce."
It had been three years since he last heard those words spoken to him by her, and he never wanted to experience a birthday without her ever again. Percy closed his eyes, taking a deep breath through his nose.
She wasn't going anywhere. He wasn't going anywhere. They could just lay in bed and watch the sun rise—
Wait.
Percy grabbed his glasses off of his nightstand and put them on, the movement drawing a grunt of protest from Victoria. He looked towards the wall clock and felt his heart leap into his throat
07:56.
"I'm going to be late!"
Percy practically jumped out of bed to sprint to his half of the closet. He tossed his sleep shirt to the side and grabbed a pair of trousers and a white shirt before running to the master bath.
Victoria rubbed the sleep from her eyes with her wrist and stretched. "No, you're not."
"Vic, I have to be at the Ministry at eight!"
She groaned and rolled over to her nightstand, grabbing her wand. With a simple flick in Percy's direction, she yanked him back to the bed. Once he was against the bed, she pulled him down by the shoulders so he was lying down, half dressed with a comb in his hair.
"Percy," Victoria said. "You're not working today. Neither am I." She popped the top button of his shirt, lowering her voice. "Kingsley owed me a favor."
Percy's breathing quickened. "Did he now?"
"Mhm." Another pop. "And we have until noon before we meet your family for lunch—"
Percy didn't even let her finish. His lips were on hers, silencing the rest of whatever it was that she had to say. She shifted, straddling him, and grasped onto both sides of his face with her hands.
They didn't get out of bed for a few hours.
