Holy Shit...
For the first time ever in my career, and probably my entire life, I'm fucking terrified.
Of course, I hide it well, I always do. But from the way he's looking at me, I can tell he recognizes me, even though he doesn't say anything. Im not stupid enough to think he's nervous or doing it for my sake, I just know his kind. The "snitches get stitches" kind. That's really fucking bad for me, because being a cop is pretty much just being a professional tattle-tale.
"...So.. she's the new hire, hm~?" He said, that same mockery and amusement in his voice. I feel myself tense as I force a smile.
Hajime rolled his eyes. "Hanma, stop being a pervert. You better not run off another employee, I swear to God!" He huffed, but the irritation and scolding in his tone only added to the taller mans amusement.
So... this is Hanma...
Being able to put a face to his name is good for me. It makes my job easier, since now im remembering articles of an "unknown criminal" with tattooed hands. Those articles aren't just recent... there's older ones too. Articles of a tall, lanky kid with "sin" and "punishment" tattooed on his hands taking out entire gangs by himself.
I glance down at his hands to double check, and he quickly caught it. He's like a fucking hawk. He's looking at me right now like "I know what you are", and its only adding to that uncomfortable feeling in my stomach.
I know he knows what I am.
Who I am.

This man really knows how to make what was supposed to be a one hour introduction meeting feel like a seven hour interrogation. Not that I know exactly what that feels like, interrogating people is Tachibana's job. Something about him having more patience?
The sudden change in Hanma's voice made me jump. "Are you deaf? I asked you a question, bitch. Answer me." He was snapping at me after I didn't answer a question in two seconds. Wow, this man has the patience of a saint, not to mention how sweet he is.
Ignoring the twitch in my eye, I force my most professional and polite tone. With a smile, I sweetly say "Oh, im sorry sir. I was doing something called using my brain to think, a concept im sure is foreign to you."
The comment made something flash in his eyes, and I could tell he wanted to jump over this table and either strangle or throttle me. Before any of that could happen, Hajime cleared his throat.
"That is not acceptable at all. Mind your manners when speaking to your superiors."
That pissed me off. A lot. But I pushed it down and apologized.
After the meeting, Hajime admitted that he found it funny, but told me not to do it again. He really stressed that if I feel the need to make anymore comments like that, then i need to make them away from him. It's like hes trying to stress the fact that Hanma is dangerous without actually telling me, "Hey, this guy will kill you".
But I already know what he is. From what I know, he's Bonten's canmando unit captain or leader, or whatever the fuck lame ass title he's given himself.
Of course he is.
In the brief interactions I've had with him, I could tell he's the type of guy who isn't happy unless there's bloodshed. I can tell he loves violence, and he has the muscle to deliver just that. Not that I was checking him out or anything, I was just sizing him up. Just from what I could tell, he's about 6'4 and 200 pounds...maybe. The suit makes it hard to tell exactly.
I shake my head, trying to ignore how that suit looks on him. God, why do assholes have to be so god damn attractive?
I get in my car and rest my head on the steering wheel, taking a deep breath in as I start my car. The CD i burned back in highschool is in, and as soon as the car starts, (Don't Fear) The Reaper blares through my old speakers, the familiar sound of that damn cowbell and the sound of Buck Dharma's angelic, majestic ass voice fills my car.
"How fitting." I groan, skipping the song. Normally, this song would make me happy. But right now, all I can think of is him. The "Kabukicho Reaper". So lame. I've always found street names corney. If they dont know me by name, then they dont know me. Though, if I was called something like "The Reaper", im not sure I'd complain. As much as I hate to admit it, its pretty badass compared to fucking mouse.
