We managed to make it to the building just barely on time, thanks to me fighting Hanma the entire way there. I was hoping to make him irritated enough that he changed his mind, but nope. He still insisted on it, much to my dismay.

From the moment I stepped into the building, I felt like I was going to be crushed by the feeling of anxiety I got. If they know im a cop, im fucking screwed.

He seemed to notice that, and it made a corner of his lips tilt up into a small smirk.

The elevator ride up to the top floor was silent, and the second the elevator door opened, the sound of whiney men could be heard down the hall. Once we got closer, I could make out what they were saying.

"The fuck we gotta be here for?"

"Stop whining and do your damn job for once. God, its like you never stop complaining."

"Ugh. This is so fucking booorrriinngg!!! Tell Mikey I quit."

"Mikey chose you two because you're supposed to be the most charismatic. Stop questioning Mikey."

Ew.

"Dont question Mikey?" Seriously?

When we entered the room, I saw four men, though I only heard three of them.

To the right of the giant booth in the corner was a man in a purple suit with a pink mullet and the most gorgeous aquamarine eyes I've ever seen. He has two diamond shaped scars on either side of his mouth, which only added to how absolutely beautiful he is.

To the left of the booth is a man who i recognized almost immediately. He has short, black hair with a giant scar on his face and heterochromia, one red eye and one almost clear. Kakucho.

In the middle were two men, and I could tell who they were a lot quicker than I could the other two. The Haitani brothers, aka the two assholes who jumped me when I was 13.

The only man I didn't recognize was pinky, I'd know if I had seen those scars before.

As im trying to process everything, Hanma ever so gently forces me to sit down, making me hit the booth hard enough that my ass hurts, making me glare at him. He hadn't even asked Kakucho to move before just shoving me down next to him, making Kakucho glare at him before switching spots with me. Now, im sitting next to Rindou bitch-tani, and its taking everything in me not to bash his head in.

"You need to be more careful than that. Women are weaker than you, you cant just throw them around like that."

Kakucho reprimanded Hanma, making him roll his eyes as I glare at both of them. Though, due to the anxiety thats crushing my chest, its near impossible to speak, so I say nothing.

"Who's this?" Ran said, his eyes everywhere but my face. Rindou slapped him in the chest.

"Hanma requested her to join. Said she'd be a good asset." Pinky said before pressing out behind gritted teeth "And since he never recommends people, Mikey is taking it seriously." He glared at Hanma, like the mere thought of Hanma being taken seriously is offensive to him.

Then he looked at me, making me blush and look away. These men are fucking criminals, men I've sworn to get locked up forever. Yet they are so fucking hoottt.

"Why?" Pinky asked me, snapping me out of my daze. Whys he asking me?? How am I supposed to know what that lunatic is thinking?

"Great question. I dont know. He never told me." I said, making him quirk a pink brow. When attention went to Hanma, he just said "He told me to." vaguely, clearly not wanting to answer.

Ran rolled his eyes.

"So, a dead guy was like "yeah, you needa make that bad bitch apart of your criminal organization for no reason"? Yeah, I dont think so. Lay off the drugs and just admit you want a new toy." Which earned him a glare and another slap from his younger brother.
