Maya's POV:

The best thing about not fighting with Riley is getting to sleep in her bed. That bay window? Horrible.

I'm about to fall asleep when Josh bursts into Rileys room. Surprisingly, Riley didn't wake up.

"Wha?" I sit up.

"Maya, we need to talk."

Josh sounds mad. Why? Thats beyond me.

"Okay.." I get out of bed and follow him into rhe living room.

We sit down on the couch and I wait for him to tell me what this was all about.

"Guess what I found, Maya."

"What did you find..?" I ask confused.

He pulls out the pregnancy test and I about die. Josh knows.

"Is this yours?"

"I- what , no! Why would that be mine?" I stutter.

"Yeah, why would it be yours?"

I shrug, because I dont know what else to do.

We're silent for a moment.

"Maya, don't lie to me. Please." He looks deep into my eyes.

"I'm sorry." I say, as a hint.
Josh lets out a big sigh along with teared up eyes.

"So this is yours?" He asks sadly.

I nodd. Seeing him so upset makes me wanna cry, but I do my best to hold myself together. My eyes get watery.

"I'm sorry Josh." I put my hand on his shoulder. "But hey, atleast I'm not preggo. That wouldn't have been so great."

"So what does this mean? You and Lucas.. was it just a hook up or are you together or something?"

I stop and think. What am I saying? I dont need to think. Lucas is my soulmate. If I was to be having someones kid it'd be his. I love him and always have.

"I'm sorry Josh." I shake my head. "But I love him."

He drops his head.

"But hey," I continue "one day, you'll find someone that means the world to you. Someone to go through everything with."

Josh lets out the tiniest smile and nods.

"Yeah, I guess. Thanks Maya."
"So do you mind if I go to sleep now?"I ask.

"Sure. Gnight, Maya."

"Night." I reply.

I lean over and give him a long comforting hug, and walk back to Rileys room where I snuggle in her warm blakets and quickly fall asleep.

Lucas's POV:

I wake up to an my phone ringing in my ear. Its about 8:00am.

The only reason I answer the phone is because its Maya.

"Hello?" I say.

"Hey, Lucas?"

"Yeah?"

"Uh.. so about that one night, you remember what happened right?"
She asks nervously.

"Yeah?."

"Well I was just calling to let you know that I'm not pregnant."

"Your not?"

"Nope." She replies.

"Thank the lord." I let out a sigh of releif.

"You sound pretty excited there."

"Well I don't think I could've handled a child."

"Yeah. Me either." She agrees.

"Well I should probably get going." I say.

"Okay. I'll talk to you later,"

"Okay, bye Maya. I love you."

"I love you too." She says before hanging up.

Phew. I think to myself. That was a close one.
