rant four - annoying authors
Have you ever come across these Wattpad authors who're like, "I'll update my story only when I get 5K votes"?
Well, I have. And it's pissing off.
And then there are these people who're like, "Omg, I have only 900K reads and 52K votes. I'm such a sucky writer."
WHAT THE FUCK?
You should happy and thankful that you so many votes. There are so many people here who're struggling to get even 10 votes on their story. And here you are, complaining that you got only 52K votes.
Ungrateful little (I'm not even saying anything).
There are also these 'popular' authors who are rude to their readers and followers. I was going through a particular author's profile and this is an actual comment on her profile by one of her followers. I went something like-
"You're so talented! I love your works. I wish I could write like you."
And then the author replies with this-
"Haha, I know right? I'm so happy to be so famous. And aww, I'm so glad. Many people wish they could write like me but sadly they can't."
And I was like ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS?
LIKE WE GET IT. YOU'RE FAMOUS. YOU HAVE MANY FANS. BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN DO THIS.
And, finally, the most annoying type of author.
The type of authors who typ thr stries lyk dis.
LIKE NO. JUST NO.
YOU DO NOT WRITE BOOKS LIKE THAT.

ALSO. You know like clichés? Yup, it's the new trend that starts to get old like, oh, I dunno quite a while ago. So peeps are doing things that are like ANTI-cliché. Well at first it was new and refreshing, especially when PEOPLE DO IT TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. But like now, it's just... SUPERCLICHÉ(see what I did there?). Some stories now are all like "oh so she's like the new girl in school, but instead of being super uncool, she gets friends IMMEDIATELY afterwards and gets like a real crush and THE CRUSH JUST HAPPENS TO LIKE HER BACK!! OMG COOL. BUUUT stuff happens and she gets pregnant and her parents are SUPER CHILL about it". Or something. Oh you know what I mean.
Oh, OOHHH, this is another one. Ever heard of the good-girl-falls-for-the-bad-boy-and-the-bad-boy-turns-out-to-be-really-vulnerable situations? Well it's LITERALLY THE ONLY CLICHÉ THAT HAS NOT CHANGED. FREAKING GREAT.
