Alexis Clearwater is an average woman going through the motions of life. With her schooling over, she spends all her time trying to renovate her home and in her beloved restaurant cooking up a storm. Her love for food and construction is great, but she can't help but to wonder about her love for a non existent soul mate.

Sweet Lexi has always dreamed of the perfect happy ever after. Shes been determined to get there, and quick. After a six month encounter with Garrett Jacks in college, Alexis swears to herself that he was the one. Unfortunately, that boat sunk two and a half years ago.

Now, Alexis hasn't thought of a so called Garrett Jacks for over a year. But all of this soon changes when the two get re-united for their friends' wedding. With Alexis as the maid of honor and Garrett as the best man, emotions from the past erupt and explode all over again. And the question is, will Alexis get her forever after with Garrett or will he have just set her back even farther?
