Paige POV:
When I returned home, I saw there was no car.
Was that good?
Was I happy?
I didn't know. maybe I was happy he wasn't here to make fun of me. Maybe I was sad that he wasn't here to comfort me.
Ha! like he would comfort me.
Tyler made me get out of the car about a mile before my house was even in sight. thank god I wore my flip flops today.
As I searched for my keys I saw Dylan pull up. I thought he was with his friends?
"Hey whats up girly?" he said like he thought nothing was wrong.
"Oh I don't know. nothing really, I mean I only got asked out by my best friend since birth. and when I rejected him he said not to ever talk to me again and dropped me off a mile away from home. so then I only walked home. d-doesn't that happen to everyone all the time?" by the end of that I broke down. I couldn't take it.
Now don't call me overdramatic. Me losing my best friend was only the half of it.
Dylan looked me with something foreign in his eyes. was that adoration? maybe sadness?
And then he did something that was totally unexpected.
He hugged me.
Like body to body with his arms wrapped around me. like he was actually touching me. no reall- okay you get it.
I guess I seemed really stiff because he just hugged me tighter. there was no smell of alcohol on him yet something felt so... electric.
We hugged for a solid five minutes.
I sighed against his hard and now slightly wet chest.
"Sorry about the shirt." I said laughing
He looked down And laughed with me. " It's okay I will just change it." he said with a smirk lightly tugging at the hem of his shirt as he pulled it off.
I guess I just stared at him because the next words were," see something you like."
" Maybe if your lucky."
