CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

I looked at kouture and noelani lay peacefully in their bassinet. I smiled before looking at zayvehin who laid on the couch that was provided by the hospital.

Literally right after the nurses put a curtain around me in the middle of the hallway, four pushes and they were out so quick.

I didn't have to get a C-section which i was thankful for. I sighed , sitting up a little fixing noelani pacifier before getting on my phone.

I heard a phone ring and i looked up towards Zay. He still was sound asleep but i knew the longer the phone rang the quicker the kids would start doing all that crying.

I huffed and got up , using the rail as support from my legs still being numb and reached grabbing his phone.

I saw it was an unknown number and declined it. I put the phone on the bedside table , heading back towards the bed.

It started to ring again and a text notification went through on my phone. I scrunched my face up and saw Zay still sleep and noelani start to move.

I huffed and picked up the phone , putting it to my ear.

"hello" i said lowly , sitting on the bed.

"Hello this is the local Dallas hospital, may i speak to Zayvehin black?" I heard a lady say , and i looked at Zayvehin sleeping before shaking my head.

"I'm his wife... he's sleep right now i just had a baby.. what's going on?" I asked , still trying to keep my tone down.

I heard crying in the back of the lobby through the phone and my heart started to pound.

My phone rang and the lady was chocking on her words and couldn't even get it out. I picked up my phone hearing lasia crying. I heard shuffling before Trey sniffed.

"Trey.. why yall crying?" I said , hanging up the phone with the hospital.

Zay heard me talking and slowly started to wake up. "what's going on?"

I shaheed before Trey just bussed out in tears. "He gone bruh he gone..."

My heart dropped , hearing someone died and his voice have so much hurt in it.

"who?" I questioned, eyes tearing up.

"bino bruh they killed him" he said and my heart dropped once again and my whole body stopped , i lost feeling in everything.

I heard the phone drop and Zay scrunched his face up , picking it up.

"no" i cried , noelani started crying as well making kouture cry too.

"man nahhh he not dead" Zay said , shaking his head. I looked up at him with tears flooding my face.

"no man.. no man he wouldn't leave like that" Zay said as his eyes started to get teary.

"he's gone..." i heard a voice say on the phone and i broke down. Zay shook his head as tears fell down his cheeks and he sat down putting his head down.

The kids kept crying so i picked them up trying to clam them as tears kept filling my eyes.

It was a knock on the door and Zay mom came in with a worried look before it turned to a frown. "What's wrong?"

"Bino died" i said with my voice cracking and she gasp before her eyes started to gloss. I shook my head and patted the twins on the back , crying my eyes out.

"I got them" she said walking towards the twins and i went over to zay as he laid his head on my stomach crying out loud.

"Ka'rasi..." his mom said and i rubbed Zay back looking at her. "They are coming to arrest you..."

I sighed and more tears just kept appearing. "How do you know?"

"They gave me a notice yesterday." She said with a frown and i nodded as Zay kept his head down.

"you can't leave me right now kaykay" he said through tears and it was like another pull to my heart.

"I'm so sorry Zay" i mumbled , lifting his head. "I'm so sorry"

He shook his head and his face was wet from tears and his nose was slightly runny.

"take care of them , i won't be in there for long... if i am don't let them forget me." I said smiling through my tears.

I'm still hurt from my baby , my best friend just died , and now I'm getting arrested.

I paid my karma full.

"no man" he cried and that was the loudest i heard him cry , it hurt so bad.

The door swung open and i saw two detectives by the door. I shook my head , tears falling down and Zay stood up.

"Bruh please" he pleaded and i watched his mom hold my kids. "She just had my kids bruh let her get a break!"

The detectives walked in the room and the twins instantly started crying. I hate that i caused so much stress on them already.

"i love you zay.. i will always love you" i said looking at him and his whole face was literally red.

His hand shook violently and his chest went up and down filled with so many emotions.

I hated seeing him like this.

"Ka'rasi smith your under arrest for the murder of..." they read me my rights and put me in handcuffs, turning me to walk towards the door.

i looked at Zay who was more than furious. I know him so well i could tell he was full of emotions.

"be wise baby" i said , and they took me out the room as i felt eyes on me.

I heard a familiar voice and turned my head around. I saw remy running up to me full speed.

"KAYKAY WHERE U GOING??" She said , frowning. "Why the officer take you?"

I shook my head not being able to respond and Zay came out the room grabbing her. "Zay why you cry?"

"Where Kay Kay going?" She asked again but nobody answered. They walked me out the building and i cried dang near the whole way there.

I was more than hurt, i was more than drained , and i was completely exhausted.

i lowkey had to re-read this whole book like i didn't know the names , people who died , plot or nothingggggg. Yall kept asking for an update but nobody be commenting yall.

I'm telling yall , the comments keep me motivated cs i do not like this story what do ever but seeing yall comments got me starting it again lol.
