Penelope and I were in the kitchen by ourselves. I was sitting at the counter doing my homework that was due on Monday and Penelope was aimlessly walking around the kitchen.
"You should do the dishes." I said, in a tone that said to do them then and there.
"I will." she replied in a tone that indicated she wouldn't.
The voice sounded behind me, and I looked up with wide eyes. "Shh, listen! can you hear it?"
Penelope stilled her hand on a cup that was now over flowing with running water.
"Can you hear it?' I persisted.
her eyes grew wide with recognition. "I hear it!"
"You hear it!?" I asked in relief and utter not believing. I wasn't crazy? I hadn't lost my mind? I was still okay?
Penelope drank her water before saying, "yea, it was like this girls voice, and I heard it saying things like killing and something about an aunt."
"I hear stuff like that too! I thinks it's Lia trying to contact us. Remember my dream? I think she's trying to talk to us."
Penelope's color drained from her face and she gulped. "You think so? Does that mean we have a ghost in our house?"
"I don't know. We need to tell mom, though. I'm not crazy!" I cheered.
We ran to our mother's office, and I cried, "Penelope heard the voice!" My mom looked at us in disbelief and shock.
"Yea, it sounded like a girl and she was saying something about killing."
Our mom's look of shock grew. "Mom, I think it's Lia trying to contact mke. This started happening right after my dream!"
"Maybe." my mom replied, unsure. I jumped up and down, ecstatic that i was not tthe only one who hear it.
I was not crazy!
I know had two believers.
