michael woke up after a two hour nap and saw that it was nine p.m.. he rolled out of bed and over to the closet. he pulled on some leggings and one of luke's hoodies. michael fixes his hair in the bathroom and brushes his teeth before going downstairs. luke lays on the couch asleep while modern family plays on the tv.
michael kneels in front of luke and shakes his shoulder lightly. "baby, you have to wake up."
luke shifts a little before opening his eyes.
"why?" he whines.
"we have to pick up ashton and calum from the airport in an hour."
luke nods, then goes upstairs. he puts on joggers and a hoodie, then goes downstairs. he and michael leave the building and start driving to the airport.
once there, michael and luke wait at the entrance. they see see a familiar bush of honey colored hair walking their way. michael squeals and runs into ashton's arms.
"mikey! i missed you so much!" ashton chuckles.
calum and luke just bro hug and say their hello's, then the four friends wait for ashton and calum's bags before walking to the car. they stop at mcdonald's on the way home.
once there, the four boys eat their chicken nuggets while watching a movie. michael snuggles into luke underneath a blanket while calum and ashton snuggle on the recliner.
"how's school, michael?" ashton asks.
"it's going well. a little stressful, but it's worth it," michael replies.
"are you excited to graduate?"
"yeah. i already have a job lined up."
ashton nods, then the four boys watch the movie until the end. ashton and calum walk to the guest room, and luke and michael walk up to their room. luke lays in bed in his joggers and watches as michael strips of his clothes, leaving him in red and black lace panties. luke bites his lip as michael bends over to pick up the dirty clothes. once he puts them in the laundry bin, michael lays next to luke, propping himself up on one elbow.
"how are you feeling?" michael asks, tracing shapes on luke's chest with his finger.
luke shrugs. "alright, i guess."
"did you take your medicine?"
luke nods. michael moves his hand to luke's cheek, his stubble tickling michaels palm. he places soft kisses around luke's face, whispering sweet nothings as he does.
"i love you, baby boy," luke smiles tiredly.
michael smiles back, then lays down after placing a soft kiss upon luke's chapped lips and pulls luke over so the taller boy has his head resting on michaels chest. luke runs his cold hand up and down michaels tummy, making michael shiver at his touch.

in the morning, luke wakes up and stares at the beautiful boy sleeping peacefully next to him before getting out of bed and going downstairs. he notices that ashton is awake and reading on the couch.
"hey," luke yawns. "you want some coffee?"
ashton looks over and nods, then goes back to his book. luke makes two cups of coffee and adds sweetener and creme. he sits next to ashton and starts to sip at the hot liquid.
"how have you been, luke?" ashton asks, setting the book on the coffee table.
"um, i've been doing better."
"yeah? that's good."
luke nods, then hears michaels feet padding down the stairs. michael put on a sweater before coming downstairs, yet he's still chilly. he sets himself onto luke's lap after wrapping himself in a blanket.
"good morning," michael whispers.
calum then enters the room, stretching and sitting next to ashton, leaving s light kiss on the older boys jaw. the four boys watch cartoons before the decide to go out for breakfast. everyone changes and piles into the car before driving into the city and going to a small cafe for food.

the boys drive around for a while after breakfast, trying to look for something to do. they stop at a small music shop and look around. luke spots a record he's been dying for; party in the graveyard by ghost town. he grabs it and notices that it's fairly cheap, so he decides to purchase it.
michael grabs all time low's dirty work album, and calum and ashton get some classic rock. after making their purchases, the boys walk around. michael gets chilly so he walks closer to luke, who wraps an arm around the smaller boys shoulders.

they walk around for the rest of the day, then go back to the condo with chinese take out. they eat on the terrace while playing twenty one pilots' blurry face album on the record player.

so the next chapter is gonna be in December around Christmas bc why not.
