Lisa threw the files off the table, stumbling over a few drawers as if the answers would magically spill out from inside them. Papers scattered across the floor like fallen leaves, fluttering under the weak light of the lair.
Her breaths were uneven, chest rising and falling sharply, fingers clawing at every folder, every cabinet, every inch of the desk.
But the intel-the one export they had been preparing for weeks and today, it had to get exported-was nowhere to be found.
Lisa: WHERE THE FUCK IS IT GONEE?!
She growled, shoving yet another file off the desk of the twilight's meeting room. Every guard in the lair had their head low cause they knew better than to raise a single word to her now.
Lisa: THE FUCK!!!!
Lisa's voice cracked, sharp enough to make the guards stationed in the room flinch. They moved hesitantly, eyes darting to one another, none daring to meet hers directly.
Her pulse hammered as she tore through another stack of files, nails scraping against wood. Nothing. Cold dread sank into her stomach, heavier with every second.
It was important. The intel. It had to be exported today. To fucking France.
It was here till tomorrow. Where is it gone just today?! In hardly 10 hours??
She grabbed her hair frustratingly, grunting. The whole lair was a mess now. Files scattered-guns dropped on the ground-fear etched on everyone's face.
Fear? Of whom? Lisa?
No.
Infact Lisa here was the most terrified one. Reason?
What will Scarlet do to 'each' one of them when she comes to know this?
Lisa slammed her palm on the table, sending a glass crashing to the floor.
Lisa: WHO THE HELL HAD ENTERED THE MEETING ROOM FROM YESTERDAY TILL NOW?!!
Her voice echoed through the deadly room again, making everyone as stiff as they are.
But again, no one spoke. Only a synchronized head moving from left-to-right was visible. They knew whoever was responsible wouldn't last a breath once Yn found out. And Lisa... Lisa wasn't going to take the fall for this.
Her hand shook as she reached for her phone, thumb hovering over the screen for a moment too long.
She hated this—hated sounding weak, hated calling her like this. But there was no choice. With a frustrated exhale, she pressed the button.
