Chapter 2 Moving In

The car ride home was silent for most of the journey until Khloe finally spoke up. "Karli don't be scared to speak or ask for anything." I nodded to show that I heard and sat just like I was before, silent and still.

She sighed, in response to my quietness.

Wow, she is trying hard. Trying to force a bond between us is going to get her nowhere. If anything I should be the one doing the forcing, considering I don't want to be send back to satan.

Khloe spoke up once again, her voice full of hope and fake happiness. "Would you like to get something to eat? We could stop by a Mc Donald's if you want."

"Okay" Her face noticeably lit up at my response. She seemed proud, like she made progress. I don't see what progress though, all she got was a one word answer, but whatever.

After Mc Donald's, we went home and Khloe showed me my new room. It was erm... decent, but nonetheless I decide to make myself feel at home and began to unpacked clothes. In the end, the wardrobe looked kind of stupid because of my lack of clothing and the huge amount of space left over. I need to get that filled, I should probably ask Khloe about a shopping spree soon, I'm sure she wouldn't mind.

*Next Day*

When I woke up, I smelled food, nice, nice food and began to follow the smell. It lead me to the kitchen, only to find Khloe and Lamar liplocking by the table. Silently cringing I turned and tried to get away, but Lamar noticed me.

He backed away from Khloe and turned to look at me with a small smile on his face.

"Good morning Karli, as you can see we've prepared a variety of breakfasts for you so you can choose whatever you like" Talk about awkward.

"You guys don't need to worry about the food, the only things I don't like are tomatoes and peppers and sprouts, so anything without them I'd probably eat it but thanks Lamar for all this, oh and you Khloe ". I commented

"Karli you don't need to worry about calling us Lamar and Khloe you can call us mum and dad if you like but there's no rush". Is she seriously this keen on us getting along? I may as well give her what she wants, since she's been kind enough to promise a shopping spree today.

"I have no problem calling you that and by the way are we still on for shopping Mum?" Mum, I'll never get used to that word leaving my mouth.

"Of course, although you might want to go and get ready, were leaving soon"

I went upstairs to my room, got in the shower and got ready. Khloe said she got me a hair and makeup stylist called Katie, who is also my assistant if I ever need help with anything, which I will not be needing, I'm very capable of taking care of myself.

Katie and Khloe's best friend Malika went shopping with us, we went in so many shops, bought everything I needed and way, way more.

On the journey home, after we dropped Malika and Katie off at their homes, Khloe announced that we'd be attending, a family meal. All the family will be there to meet me at Kris' house.

When we arrived home, I dressed up in fancy clothes, put a little make up on and was back on the road again, just in 20 minutes flat.

"They're here " Kris squealed.

Lamar and Khloe immediately went to greet everyone.

I'm not gonna lie, I was quite shy but after dinner I was beginning to loosen up and began getting to know everyone. I was so thankful that they chose me, their family is great.

Kylie gave me a tour around the house then showed me how to improve on my makeup, just a few little tips before we had to leave because it was late.

Before it was lights out I got my box letters then began I read one of the letters.

Dear Karli,

I'm very sorry that I put you in care. I'm very young and still in high school, I don't have think I can cope looking after a baby and I'm pretty sure someone will take care of you and love you like I do.
I promise I will find you when I can look after you, when I'm older but just not right now

I will never stop searching for you.
You are my gold and I'll do anything to see you again.

I started tearing up when I lifted up the letter to find the bracelet. I've never seen this bracelet before it was a charm bracelet before because it was hidden in a red little bag I opened it the bag there was a mini note it said.......
Dear Princess Karli,
I will find you one to make it easier I made you this charm bracelet there's only two in whole world which yours and mine it will make it ten times easier to find you my sweetheart.
