It takes place in Sydney, Australia during summer in June 2013.
Melanie Jane Carson, also known as Melly, is the main character and her grandpa owns a pet shop/ rescue center , which she works at, mostly during summer. She's smart and very optimistic about a lot of things, and loves animals and music. She has golden brown hair, loads of freckles, and a kind smile. She usually hates cocky people and long car rides, but most of all fakers.
Her best friend is Summer who she has know since diapers, and practically lives with her. Summer is almost over friendly and very athletic and fond of the outdoors. Mellys other best friend is Nichole, a soft pastel grunge cutie who has pink hair and a creative style. She's soft and sweet like icecream, and is dating Kyle. Kyle is the drama king. Literally he is one of the schools best actor's and he was voted prom king. Not one soul at school dislikes Kyle, even though he is cocky.
Then we have the boys of 5sos. Calum, the bassist, Luke, guitar and lead vocals, Ashton on the drums, and Michael the lead guitarist. They started from scratch and made their way up. With their good looks and punk pop music They are irresistible. They are one odd group of teenage boys, but their music is so different that they already have toured with Hot Chell Rae and soon One Direction. Calum is shy, but clever like a Fox. Luke is very passive and loving. Michael is a pure gamer with his love for video games and pizza. Lastly Ashton is the big brother of the group. He protects and loves everyone, especially the fans. Everyone in Sydney knows them, they are even spreading to America.
So what happens when Calum goes to get a little huskey puppy from the local pet shop? Read and find out
