So, naturally, I got a detention from Ms. Ivy last night.

Cleo, Kaira, and Gianna had began laughing, like that little pink slip bothered me.

Flashback to yesterday:

"A, how dare you be late for my class again!", Ms. Ivy exclaimed, looking at the door as I stepped in, exactly at the twenty three.

"It wasn't really daring, if you know what I mean", I gave her a false grin that she did not fall for.

"Come up here and get your slip", Ms. Ivy sputtered, probably still offended that I talked to her like that, but I did it every morning.

"Whatever", I shrugged, walking up, grabbing it, and strutted back to my seat.

"Oh my gosh, like, how stupid are you?  Do you like, want detentions or something?", Kendall, a Cleo wannabe, asked me in a high pitched voice.

"I'm sorry, did I ask for a cry-baby, wannabes opinion?", I rolled my eyes, propping my feet up on my desk.

Kendall was speechless, and I heard Cleo laughing meanly again.

Flash back over:

So that was basically my day yesterday, the main interesting part anyways.

"Are you ready for this?", Zoey asked right before we stepped in.

"Yeah, it's not like I'm going to suddenly have a life changing event happen in this office, I'm just going to find out that my parents are dead", I shrugged, looking at the sidewalk.

"You never know A, anything can happen", Zoey said softly, giving me a small smile.

She reached out for my hand, and together we opened the door to walk into the waiting room.

"Yes?", the receptionist asked rudely, looking at me with disgust.

"I'm A, and I'm here for my blood test", I said, almost quivering under her glare, but I reminded myself that I was a strong person.

"Ah yes, you are two minutes and......", the lady looked at her watch, "Forty eight seconds late, the doctor will not be happy, but go right on in", she glared at us.

"Alrighty", Zoey nodded politely, but I could tell she was kind of pissed off.

I let go of her hand and walked towards the office door, looking back at her right before I entered.

'Good luck', she mouthed, taking a seat.

I nodded at her once, and shakily opened the door.

In the office was a balding old man with some thingy to extract a blood sample and a humongous screen where you would insert the sample and the countries match for people with your DNA and their description would come up.

"Hell sir, I'm A", I stepped in confidently, although that was one thing I was most definitely not feeling, and pretended to look around the room interestedly.

"Ah yes, take a seat and I will get your blood", the doctor said, kindness in his voice.

I quickly sat down and gave him my right arm.

"Alright, close your eyes, count to Twenty, and then it'll be all over", he said in a sickly sweet voice and I suddenly fought the urge to gag, he sounded like Kaira, Gianna, and Cleo.

He was talking to me as if I was five years old!

But nevertheless, I closed my eyes and began to count, almost jerking my arm back from the stab as he plunged a needle into my arm.

I thought once again of my parents, maybe Zoey was right to wish me good luck, maybe It'll turn out differently for me.

But if it doesn't, at least I don't have any family to remember and miss.

Although, perhaps my memories might begin to return, that's either a good thing or a bad thing.

"Ok honey, just let me plug your DNA into our system and in a couple minutes we will have your results", the doctor, once again acting as if I was five, said honey a little creepily.

But I shook it off, he probably spoke like this to every patient.

I noticed four boxes of tissues that hadn't been there before, he probably thought I was going to cry, but he didn't know that I had no memories of my past.  Yet anyways.

And then I heard the doctor scream.
