Thirty Two.

Bella

When I lived in Phoenix, I didn't have friends. Emphasis on friends. I had a friend, who was by my side no matter the circumstance.

She looked like a model next to me when I was human, hell she did even now. But her long brown hair went to the middle of her back and had these gorgeous brown eyes to match. They weren't dull, they were light. But here's the kicker, she's a vampire as well.

Her name is Beau, and she is simply gorgeous... If you want me to leave it simple. I was reaching out to her to come visit, because let's face it. I miss my best friend. I saw her five years ago and we caught up, but she was only passing through and couldn't stay long, not even a night.

"Hello?"

"Hey Beau..." I say softly smiling, I knew she loved getting calls, and I'm glad she already didn't know it was me.

"Oh my gosh! Bella!! How are you babes?" She asked excitingly. I smile and laugh softly as I answer.

"I'm good, I wanted to know if maybe you would come up to visit. You know since its been a while.." I say smiling still.

"I would love to, I'll be over in a few hours, see ya!" She said quickly. I laughed and hung up. She lived in now Maine, so I guess she's running if its only going to be a few hours.

"Jake, Beau is coming for a week..." I say as I sit next to him on the couch. He looks at me confused, he had only met her once, and it wasn't the best. He was very protective to say the least though.

"Oh the girl who I don't like..." He said starting to remember, mostly the incident though. I roll my eyes.

"There's many girls you don't like Jake..." I say laughing and cuddling into him. He smile and wrapped a protective arm around me and used his free hand to tilt my head to look at him. He look down lovingly at me, I could tell he was internally battling on something. He bit his lip and gave me a soft smile. As he opened his mouth to say something though, the door was swung open and in filled Beau's voice.

"Honey! I'm home!" She screeched into the house. Jake sighed and I got up and ran into her arms.  "I missed you so much, Bella! You need to call me more often!"

I smile and squeeze her back, telling her that I have been so busy with the pack. "It's nice to see you," Jake's husky voice says as his arms wrap around my stomach. I smile and give him a quick kiss. "Though I am not entirely sure I could trust you after what happened when we visited you in Arizona."

We all laugh at him, He holds a grudge for such stupid things, it's like he's a petty white girl.
Here's what happened:

Beau came over for the day while we were still on the reservation. She didn't exactly knew that I was with wolves and when she smelt me with them, she got very over protective.
She didn't like Jake at all, well he didn't like them half as much as the others. She didn't know whether or not he was my mate. And let's face it, I don't even know if he's my mate.

Beau didn't let Jake near me and wouldn't really interact with them, and if she did it was to mess with them, or make snarky remarks.  That's why he doesn't like her, but maybe they can get past it.

"I missed you too!" I wiggle out of Jacobs arms and give her a huge hug. She smiles and hugs back, not really wanting to let go.

"How have you been? Has he been treating you right?" She says with a pointed glare of warning to Jake. He audibly gulps and everyone bursts into laughter. "I'm kidding, he knows what would happen if he didn't!" She exclaims winking at him. We all laugh again and settle onto the couch.

"So I really need to tell you guys something.." She says looking down, as if guilty of something.

"Beau what happened?" I ask sort of scarred. She never acts this way.

"I was in Volterra last month.., they aren't happy with what you have done..."
