She couldn't believe that Fern was going to spend their birthday party with Molly. They had so many things planned including annoying Molly. That would have been so much fun, they could have annoyed the heck out of her. She was approaching the dining hall now and she would see Fern with Molly sitting at the table. But nothing would prepare Moon for the sight she was about to see. Fern was sitting as straight as a ruler in a pink and white dress ballroom gown. Molly was in the exactly the same dress but she seemed happier than Fern. Emily was wearing a white and blue dinner dress and she was scowling at Molly.

The minute Moon stepped into the dining hall Fern cried out with excitement, "Moon, Moon! Come sit over here with us!" And Moon walked slowly over to the table. As Moon sat down Molly gave her a scowl,

"Fernie you should not have invited our little friend over here."

"But, Molly she's my sister, anyway it's her birthday too!"

"Yes I guess you are right. Okay she can stay."

"Yes." the girls hit high fives across the table. Just then the untre was brang out. "Mmmm, these look delish! Can't wait to dig in!" Moon cried.

Just as she was about to put a small fork full of delicious ontre, she heard a long, BEEP! Moon looked around and looked back at her food, There it was again, BEEP! This time Moon looked at her phone which she always had nere her. It was lighting up aqua, her favorite color. Looking around she saw Fern look at her watch and then fiddle with the bag she always has near her. It was a shrinking bag. Moon remembered when S1 (S2's mother) gave Fern that bag and ever since then she had kept it near her.

Then Fern touched her ear and fiddled with it, Moon heard the faint, light musical voice of Fern just a little warmer then Molly's, "Moon did you hear that?" Fern's voice was light but sturdy in Moon's head.

"Yes I did." Moon said back in her head.

"We need to get to our room." Fern said in a fierce voice that Moon had never heard in her head. When she looked back at Fern her eyes were a piercing stare. And Moon knew what to do.

"Molly I really need to go to the toilet." Moon said in a very convincing voice but it wasn't enough.

"Really! I need to go to the toilet! Seriously! I mean, didn't you go before! Hupf."

After that they were all very quiet for a minute as Moon at there jiggling in her seat.

"Fine if you must go then go, Fern you stay here" Molly said in a stern voice that Fern usually abided by but Fern was in a rush and she didn't want to put up with her sister anymore so in a huff she said

"You now what, I am going to the toilet because I need to pee and I will do what I want for my birthday so there. You can just sit there. Come with me Moon" and with that they both got up and stormed away.

Fern:

She was walking so fast that Moon could hardly catch up. She was angry, angry at Molly, angry at everyone, except Moon.

"Fern, wait," Moon said huffing and puffing trying to catch up "What was that, That was awesome! I can't believe you did that" said Moon trying to say everything that was on her mind as fast as she could. She was angry all she could see was a red mist but she needed to calm down,

"Moon we need to go to our room, and fast too!" And she was off, sprinting as fast as she could, pulling her hair out of it's tight bun as she ran so that it trailed along behind her and the angry red mist was clearing. She was running so fast that she nearly missed their room.

She opened the light blue door and the smell of freshly washed floors and musty old cheese, wait what! That can't be right. She kicked off her shoes so she was barefooted. "Moon that cheese you had about a week ago where is it?" She Asked with curiosity

"Oh that, I um... don't know! I had it about a week ago, I tripped and fell and, I don't know where it landed!" Fern walked over to the old cane chair and lifted it up to move it back and as she stepped forward... her foot hit something mushy on the ground, oozing between her toes. She looked down to see what it was. It was grey and moldy, it was the so-called cheese that Moon had dropped a week before. "MOON!" she screamed and began to run over to Moon, but Moon had already pressed the invisible button on her dress and disappeared.

She couldn't believe the nerve of Moon. Moon had always been Moon, not too many jokes, but now she wasn't even sure she could trust Moon or anyone else for that matter but she hoped that in the end she could go back to trusting Moon.

But what Fern didn't know was that For Darkness was digging up some old treasures and forget-me-not would need her and Moon to trust each other and have the clearest heads they could.
