Chapter 3

HYE MI POV

MONDAY

" APPA! EOMMA! Wake up! Wake up!", I screamed. I saw blood everywhere. " Ah! ", I clenched my stomach as I coughed up blood. My vision was starting to blur. I heard sirens.

" Back up! There's a girl, she seems to be in her teens. She has a possible concussion and abdominal bleeding. I'm losing her pulse. We need to get her to the hospital quickly", the medic spoke with a stern voice.

"M-My parents....", I tried to speak but it hurt my head more.

" Don't worry. We got your parents. Stay with me okay?", she said as she lifted the gurney into the ambulance.

"N-no! I can't leave without them! Please! Eomma! Appa!"

I woke up from the terrible nightmare. My breath was uneven. When I calmed myself down I checked the time on my phone. 6:00 am. 

Great. Time for school...

I brushed my teeth, put on some makeup, and put on my uniform. I brushed my hair and took one last look at myself before I went downstairs.

I sat down and ate the breakfast prepared on the table. Jaebum came downstairs and sat across from me. He caught me staring at him. I blushed as a grin came across his face.

"Hye Mi, Jaebum will take you to school today", Mrs. Im said.

" We're gonna be late. Kaja", Jaebum said. He grabbed my hand and dragged me out the door.

" Yah! I didn't even finish eating nor did I thank your mom for making such delicious food", I pouted.

" Thank her later. We're gonna be late. Get in the car", Jaebum said.

SCHOOL

" Thanks for the ride Jaebum-ssi ", I said as I got out of the car.

" I told you to call me oppa! If not than at least call me Jb", Jaebum said.

"Ne........Jb oppa..." 

Jb's eyes widened and a smile grew on his face. My cheeks turned red after I said that. I started walking towards the school doors hoping he wouldn't see me blushing.

"Hey wait up", Jb said. 

He caught up to me and put his arm around my shoulder. As we were walking to the office, a bunch girls were staring. They had these really mean expressions on their faces. Jb turned my head towards him. 

" Ignore them. They're just jealous" , he said.

" Jb oppa.... Are you popular here?", I asked as I looked up at him. 

He looked at me surprised when I called him oppa again.

I guess he's not used to it.... He's the one that told me to call him that.

" Oh! Hmm.... I guess. If by popular you mean, girls confessing to me all the time and showering me with gifts, then yeah.... I'm popular" , He replied.

Wow......That's all I can say..... Wow.

We reached the office and I received my schedule.

"Hey we have the same homeroom."

Jb rested his head on top of mine as he read the schedule I was holding. I was startled by his actions and quickly turned to face him.

"I guess you can show me where the classroom is", I said awkwardly.

He led me to a classroom and I stood near the door to wait for the teacher while Jb went to his seat. All the girls started surrounding him and greeting him. The teacher came in and told me to introduce myself.
