Chapter 29

HEY MI POV

Spring break had ended and I had to go back to school. I got out of my bed and went to the bathroom to get ready. As I took my time, I reminisced about the fun memories I shared with Yugyeom. I was so lost in thought, I arrived at the bus stop smiling like an idiot.

"Have you been waiting long?"

I turned to see Yugyeom standing there with two bread buns. He kindly handed me one and we stood side by side enjoying the breeze while eating our breakfast.

A black van pulled up and stopped right in front of us. Something didn't seem right because this spot was for buses only. The doors of the van slid open and three men dressed in black suits came out.

"Kim Yugyeom, Go Hye Mi we need you to come with us" one of the men said.

Yugyeom stepped in front of me as if protecting me.

"I'm sorry but we don't know you and we're not going to leave with you either. If you will please excuse us, we need to get to school."

Yugyeom politely rejected them and reached for my hand. He pulled me along as we started down the street. I heard many footsteps behind us, which could meant we were being followed. My heart started pounding faster as I  gripped Yugyeom's hand tighter.

He leaned closer to me and whispered," Everything's going to be okay Hye Mi. I won't let them touch you."

At that moment, one of the men put his hand on Yugyeom's shoulder.

"Kim Yugyeom this is your last warning. Please cooperate with us or we will use force."

Yugyeom let go of my hand and quickly reacted by grabbing the man's hand. He threw his body to the ground. The man scrunched in pain while the others charged at Yugyeom. Though Yugyeom was strong and could easily take down a man that size, he couldn't take them both at the same time. Unfortunately they were able to pin him down. He told me to run but one of then men caught me before I could. The man covered my mouth with a cloth that was drenched in something foul smelling causing me to faint.

When I woke up I was laying in a bed. I checked under my sheets and was relieved that I still had my clothes on.

The room was similar to a hospital room. Simple and clean. I got out of bed and walked to the door. I peeked my head out and bumped into a broad figure.

I slowly raised my head, slightly terrified of who stood before me. It was the same man in the black suit that had kidnapped me. I abruptly backed away from him causing me to trip over myself.

The man came in and held out his hand.

Ignoring his offer I asked, "Who are you and what do you want from me? Where's my friend?"

"Go Hye Mi-shi, you're at Kim Emergency Care (KEC) Hospital. Our CEO has requested to meet you. Kim Yugyeom will be there as well. " The man replied still holding his hand out.

I stood up, myself, and fixed my skirt. I walked pass the man, out of the room. Another man, who was standing outside by the door gestured me to go right and follow after him.

As I looked around, I noticed how quiet and closed off the area was. I must've been in the higher class wing of the hospital. We took an elevator to the top floor. Passing through the offices, we were greeted by the many secretaries.
