Chapter 13

SEPTEMBER 2

HYE MI POV

After I finished eating breakfast, I went to the car to meet Jb but he was nowhere to be found.

"Jb oppa? Where are you?" 

He came out from behind the car with a sign. There were balloons attached to it.

Happy Birthday Hye Mi~

 "Is this what you were up to all morning?" I walked up to him.

"Yeah... Do you like it?" he asked, anxious for a response.

"I love it! Komawo oppa~" I hugged Jb.

 I could feel a big smile growing on his face.

 "I can't believe you remembered my birthday after all these years" I said.

 "How could I forget my girlfriend's birthday? What kind of boyfriend does that?" he joked.

 He took out a litttle, plastic tiara and placed it on my head. He laughed.

 "There. Now you're the birthday princess.... MY birthday princess" he kissed my forehead.

He put the sign in the car with the balloons and opened the passenger side door for me. Once we got to school, I got out of the car. Jb ran up and held my hand.

He's being really affectionate....more than normal.... it's kinda cute.

 We walked into the classroom together, and of course, everyone was looking. Jb walked me to my seat. Couple of minutes later, Mark walked in with Krystal hugging his arm.

I was surprised he let her do that. Mark normally doesn't like to get too touchy with girls, unless it's for show. But they've been really close to each other recently. 

They must really be close.

"Hye Mi, why are you wearing a plastic crown on your head. It's kind of childish" Krystal said under her breathe.

 "It's her birthday, and I want her to feel special" Jb answered excitingly.

 I smiled at him.

 "Happy Birthday" Mark said as he sat down.

"Thanks" I said sincerely.

"You know, Mark's birthday is in two days. We should have a party for the both of you!" Krystal said, acting as if she came up with the greatest idea ever.

"I wouldn't mind. We can have the party at my house. What do you think Hye Mi?" Jb asked.

I nodded my head and agreed.

"Yay! So this Saturday, we'll have a birthday party for Mark!...oh and Hye Mi." Krystal said clapping her hands together.

At lunch, we told Jr. about the party.

I should get Mark a present.... but what would he like? Should I get him a book? No, he doesn't like reading. What about some sunglasses? No, that's a bad idea...

"Hye Mi?" I heard a voice say.

"Huh?" I said coming back out of my daze.

"Let's decorate before the party together! It'll be super fun!" Krystal said jumping.

"Uh... I guess" I responded.

8:00 PM

 After dinner, I took a shower and went in my room. I was sitting in my bed reading, when I heard a knock.
