Chapter 11: Just Marvelous

Marcus James Lanton POV

After Nina went in search of Haydar and Cem. Two men walked in. one was possible a lieutenant and the other was just some soldier. The soldier knew English so he was going to do the translating for the lieutenant.

"We just want to talk with you, and ask some questions, if that's alright with you?" He asks, waiting for my response. "Sure thing, ask away." I reply. The lieutenant says something but I do not understand it. "Since you're from the opposite side, the Lieutenant wants you to know you can stay as long as you can until your good enough to go back to your side, so which soldier saved you?" the soldier asks, I don't understand why are these people being so nice to me. Maybe this was a trick, but when I look at lieutenant face. There was no wicked smile playing on his face just sincerity.

"A soldier named Haydar ran over to me and saved me, he risked his life for me, and his friend named Cem helped him bring me here to this very tent." I told them. They asked me more questions and when they were finished.

I heard a pissed off voice. "Who do you think you are, ordering people around you, to please yourself?" Haydar Scolded, with anger. I didn't want to be on his bad side, but then his face softened when he saw something or someone.

~Now~

I pretty much liked Haydar's company. Nina and Cem were off somewhere again. I didn't mind though, I wanted to learn a bit of Turkish. I don't know why, "How do you greet someone in Turkish?" I asked him. "Ben eşcinselim, hosuma gidiyorsun." Haydar whispered. I repeated what he said. The doctor was coming my way so I thought I should say it now. "Ben eşcinselim, hosuma gidiyorsun." I told him; all of a sudden he jumped 2 meters away from me.

Haydar hooted with laughter so much, he practically fell on the floor laughing. When he finally sat back on his chair. "What did you make me say?" I ask, knowing that I said something wrong. "You said you were gay, and that you like him." He began laughing again.

There was no way; I was going to let Haydar get away with this. I brought my face close to his face. "What are you doing?" Asked Haydar, as he stopped laughing. "I'm just observing your nose, it seems that your nose grew a inch and a half, for lying to me." I replied.

Haydar had the look of is that the best you can do expression. "Oh it hasn't grown its naturally that big." I told, with the biggest grin on my face.

Haydar looks at me feeling uneasy about the closeness he possible thought I was gay. I thought I should play along. "Haven't you heard of personal space?" He asks, then sniffing the air.

"Speaking of personal, when was your last bath, because you sure as hell, reek of bad body odor?" as he said this he pinches his nose. I smell myself; all I can say is nasty. "Where do people have their baths, around here?" I ask.

Haydar hands me crutches and points to a big building. Telling me it's there. I start heading that way but trip over a rock. Haydar runs up to me and looks around to see if anyone else saw. He helps me up and takes me to the place that he tells me is called a Hamam. I look around me it's beautiful the ceiling is decorated with some art.
