*Yep so last week when I was camping, I had the chance to charge my phone on Wednesday.... except I FORGOT MY CHARGER. YEAP. So I freaked out, with 17% on costa free wifi, a snapchat to update, an Instagram to stalk AND a chapter to upload that wasn't finished. Then, I got back to my tent that evening to find I hadn't forgotten to bring my charger. IT WAS IN MY RUCKSACK ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Then this week I was REALLLYYYYY busy and I'm now on the plane to Bulgaria whoop whoop and I have another two hours to kill lucky you :) So yeah sorry guys here you go*
Katie's POV
I nudged Phil gently in the ribs. "Grace and Dylan need some alone time, lets go." He nodded and grabbed Izzy's arm, pulling her out with us. "I guess I'd better go, see how Dan's coping alone with three munchkins." She laughed and disappeared off down the corridor. Phil grabbed my hand and guided me to a couple seats just outside the door. "What's up?" He asked and I frowned. "Whaddya mean?" I asked. "I can tell something's bothering you. What is it?"
I sighed and leant my head on his shoulder. "I just- well, this could've easily been us, with Jace or the baby. I feel really sorry for Grace but I can't help but feel like she brought it on herself. Her and Dylan have been together years now, but she didn't tell him about her and Louis's long relationship.." I trailed off as Phil shushed me. "Katty, you don't have to worry about it. It was Grace's decision, and its not your problem to worry about."
I smiled at him gratefully; he always knew how to cheer me up. "Now can we get bubble tea?" He asked and I laughed. "Of course."
**Following week**
Grace's POV
Dylan and I sat with our hands intertwined. We were awaiting an update from the nurse regarding news on my pregnancy and meds, before we were due to head back to Canada, which was in three days time. Dan, Izzy, Katie and Phil had decided to extend their stay for another two weeks but Dylan and I had arrangements and Louis had to get back to work. Speaking of Louis, Dylan and I had sorted things out between us, and he and Louis were getting along now. He had even agreed to let Lou be the godfather of the baby.
The nurse walked in. "I'm afraid we're going to have to wait a few hours for your results back, Grace. Then we'll have to sort out your medication, so feel free to go out for a walk or something, and come back at, say, six?" She informed us. "Okay. Thank you!" I replied, and we got up and walked out the door. "Starbucks?" Dylan asked, grinning. "Starbucks." I replied happily. Suddenly I received a text from...Phil?
From: Philip :P
Katie's gone into early labour! Are you still at the hospital?Oh my god. "Dyl?!" I cried and showed him the message. "Wow. Um, you go back in, I'll grab drinks?" He asked and I nodded. "Get one for Phil too." I added and he gave me a thumbs up before disappearing down the road. I ran back into the hospital to find Dan in the lobby. "Oh hi, what's going on?" I asked, slightly breathless. "We were at Phil and Katie's and her waters broke, but she's not due for another four weeks! Izzy's with Lou and the kids in the waiting room, I'll show you." We walked over to the lifts. "Where's Dylan?" He asked as we stepped in. "Oh, he went to Starbucks to get drinks. want anything?" I asked. "Nah, but Izzy and Lou will probably both want a coffee." He replied and I nodded, quickly texting Dylan the update.
We reached the third floor and walked a short distance to a small room, where I saw Lou and Izzy with Jace, Alex and Aria. I smiled, "Hey guys, how is everything?" Izzy grinned. "She's had a girl!" She squealed and I grinned. "Great! I'm guessing we're not allowed in yet?" I asked and Izzy shook her head, pouting. Lou spoke up, "Nah, but apparently we will be in the next ten minutes. Phil said everything went well, but the baby and Katie have to stay in for a few days cos she was premature. Gives us time to think of a name!"
Dylan walked in, smiling. "Hey! Anyone order a coffee?" He said, laughing. "That'll be us sir!" Izzy, Lou and I laughed together, each taking a coffee. Dylan took his own, leaving Phil's on the table. As if on cue, Phil himself walked in, the biggest grin on his face. Dan tackled him into a huge hug, "Congratulations!" He yelled and Phil winced. "Dan, you're right by my ear, don't shout!" Dan laughed, pulling back. "Sorryyyyy." The rest of us took it in turns to hug him, Dylan giving him his coffee. "Thanks, I needed this! Anyways, you guys are allowed in now, but only two at a time, and be quiet, the baby's asleep."
"Can we go first?" Izzy asked, motioning to her and Dan, which seemed fair- after all, Dan is Phil's best friend, and Izzy is closer to Katie than any of us.
Izzy's POV
Dan knocked, and slowly opened the door when he heard Katie call softly, "Come in!" We walked inside and I gasped. There was an extremely happy but exhausted-looking Katie, with a tiny baby asleep on her chest. I sat on the bed and hugged Katie the best I could without disturbing the baby. "Congratulations!" Dan whispered. "Thanks! She's cute isn't she?" She laughed softly and we nodded, she was sooo cute! We sat talking for a bit before getting up and sending in Grace and Dylan, then Louis went in with Phil, taking Jace in to meet his new baby sister.
Soon enough it was the kids bedtime, and Dan and I agreed to babysit Jace, as Phil was staying with Katie overnight. Grace and Dylan had an appointment so we left them to it, heading back to the hotel.
