Harry and the others had left a day after the final battle. Charlie had taken Draco and Narcissa aside to let them know about Lucius and how he died and they took it well. Narcissa turned to Severus for comfort while Draco sought his newfound friends company. He talked to Harry mostly on their return trip to the Temple of Osirus.

The twins told Ginny the next week that Fortesque's Ice-cream Emporium was reopened and Fortesque managing it himself. Someone had helped him escape the same night as Olivander had escaped and took him secretly to St. Mungo's to recover from his stay within Voldemort's dungeons. His business was if anything was doing better than ever and he had introduced a shocking seventy-five new flavors.

The opening of Olivander's received great reviews in the Daily Prophet as did Harry and for the most part Ron, Hermoine and the rest for their part in the final battle.

Harry was 'Witch Weekly's Most Available Bachelor' for two weeks straight before it was announced he was off the market and engaged to a Miss Ginerva Weasley.

Chocolate Frog cards hit Honeydukes and the rest of the candy shops in the wizarding world with five new cards. Ron Weasley opened one and when faced with himself looking back at him almost choked to death before his wife could give him the Heimlich maneuver. She had to enervate him when he found out that each card came with a sizable check each week as well and since he and Hermoine were both featured on cards they would be receiving two checks.

The Daily Prophet ran a front page article announcing Sirius Black was an innocent man all along, denouncing the former ministry of magic as going on a witch hunt and being to stubborn to look at the evidence at the time. Sirius was beside himself as at the time he said the Daily Prophet was one of the reasons he was convicted without a trial in the first place. Drusilla married him in a small ceremony shortly after he returned from securing the scroll in Egypt in a double ceremony with Remus and Nymphadora Tonks. The Daily Prophet was on hand to take pictures of them and the best man who was featured more than the brides and grooms. Harry Potter was the most photographed individual around and most of the photos had him hiding behind borders to the photos.

Three weeks before the Hogwarts Express was to make it's first trip to a safe and secure school Harry Potter literally vanished. He had just arrived back home from a trip to the states with his fiancée when the disappearance occurred. A short note to the minister of magic confirmed that he was ok and just needed some time.

Neville Longbottom became Witch Weekly's second target and much like Harry his photos were mostly hiding behind the border. Rita Skeeter did a few tame articles about the Hogwarts five youngest and most talented new professors.

The taxes and loans on Malfoy Manner was paid off anonymously and Narcissa and Draco were able to move back in although Narcissa owning two houses, now the Black Mansion as well, gave the deed to Draco who moved in immediately.

Mr. And Mrs. Weasley moved into Dumbledore Mansion just after the last battle. Bilius Prewett brought his family over from Australia for a family reunion that went off quite well.

On the night of the welcome feast Harry Potter stood before the gates of Hogwarts as a fierce storm raged. He smirked up at the sky feeling the fresh rain hit him in the face and was wondering if he had the sense to get out of the rain. A letter from McGonagall had told him he had best be at the feast tonight and not be late. She had also told him that Hogwarts had a record of a hundred and forty-seven new students being sorted during the feast that she would let carry on for a while as a sort of party for the war being over.

Lightening cracked overhead and Harry made out the shapes of the Carriages rolling along the road. He was dressed all in black with a new black Dragon hide duster courtesy of the Twins complete with biker style boots to match. He opened the gates and wheeled the motorbike to the large school broom shed and made his way into the Great Hall levitating his trunk behind him having sent Hedgwig and Fawkes on ahead of him. Hedgwig he knew would be in the Owlery and Fawkes would be on his perch in Harry's third floor room. The five had chosen to keep the third floor for their own use and McGonagall was happy to let them. Harry remembered that the third floor had been void of all life save one his first year and that was a three-headed dog named fluffy.
