Why am I always late?

Nicky walked back to his house, when suddenly there was a notification in his phone. When he opened he saw it was Gyueum that messaged him.

"I'm going on a date with Seo In"

Nicky looked dumbfounded as he stood in the middle of the streetlight, standing still while thinking on how he got a date so quickly.

"So you already asked her?"

"Nope, but it's fine. I already know where we're going to go on a date anyway!"

"Don't tell me it's really.."

"Yep! Isn't it beautiful"

"Going to a capybara cafe isn't gonna win her over idiot!"

"Thats mean! And besides, I'm not going there"

"Then where?"

"To the zoo!"

Nicky looked dumbfounded at his screen. How dumb is his friend???!

He wanted to tell that he was an idiot for even considering it. But then someone called out to him.

"Nicky!" Someone said as she pants for air. "Are you sure? Your eyes are starting to bleed, but if you—" Nicky cut her off.

"Oh shut it!" He shouted, his voice deep but stern, as if mad. "You don't know how important it is, He is! You're only saying this because you don't know how it really feels"

But the girl shook her head" that's not true! I care, and I understand. But is it really important to waste your time instead of just telling him?" She gripped the hem of her clothes. "He's hallucinating, he's acting as if your still there. But what if, what if he can't handle it and dies?!" She shouted as tears started to fall in her cheeks.

"I'll convince him."

He then left. Leaving the girl on the street as she cries and cries, begging for him to reconsider. "You'll never meet again if you keep doing this!" She shouted. One last effort to stop him.

Nicky stopped at his tracks, "that's why I'm doing it." he said before really leaving.

The next day Gyueum again hangs out again in Nicky's place.

"Gyueum, I'm telling you, going to the zoo is the most idiotic thing you can do. Even if you are Gyueum!" Nicky yelled that Gyueum immediately took offense with.

"Why are you so negative, huh?! Why cant you just support me and my future girlfriend!" He crossed his arms as he sat on Nicky's bed.

"I'm not negative gyu, I'm just worried your gonna look more dumber than before" Nicky said concerning, but Gyueum only thought of it as an insult.

"Whatever, I'll continue my plan and seduce her until she'll come back running for more!" He declared.

"Wuhyeon hyung, are you sure your friend told you the right place? You might have misheard it" Geumwook asked as he tried to avoid the little kids running.

Trust me Wook-ah, I've heard it right and clear. I even got it written!" He waved him the paper with a grin. But as for Geumwook, he was scared with the kids running, afraid he was gonna trample him.

He kept on avoiding the kids, causing him to walk funny in the eyes of strangers. While Wuhyeon just tried to stop his laughter.

Geumwook was buff, even for an 18 year old. He had biceps, and tall build mistaking him for a much older guy. Wuhyeon meanwhile was a shorter, faded blond guy who you can mistake as the brother of the same kids running.

Meanwhile....

"Seo In! Here!" Gyueum shouted as he jogged to the gate. Seo In immediately saw the 188cm guy waving like a kid and rushed to him.

"I'm sorry for being late" Gyueum sheepishly said as he scratched his neck. Seo In then shook her head. "Its fine, you were just late by..." She looked at her watch, only to realize he was late by an hour.

"Some time.." she managed to say which brought a smile unto his lips.

"L-lets go in?" She asked before Gyueum took her hands and lead her to the zoo.

As they walked past the entrance, she wondered why she was suddenly asked to go on a zoo date. Was it because of the reindeer and capybara thing? Or was it an idea he just had? Seo In really never knew what was in his mind.

"Umm, Gyueum, what are we—" she asked but was cut off.  "I wanted to change the atmosphere a bit. I know that the weather doesn't really scream sweet or romantic vibe since we're in a zoo in winter time, but I thought you'd love it!" He clasped his hands together.

He then ran to some parrots, acting like a child as she shouted for Seo In to also come up. She sighed, thinking enjoying should be the number one priority.

"It's so cool!! Whats its name, Poppy? Wow, such a fitting name!" He beamed with amazement as he dawned over the bright red feathers of the bird.

" Pop, Poppy! Poppy!! Asleep! when! Poppy!!" The bird kept on yelling and repeated the same line over and over. The guest who was with Gyueum started to get concerned especially with their kids copying it. Seo In saw the whole scene where a parent complained and the caregiver apologized, she heard the person who brought the bird kept on muttering those same words even when he was leaving the zoo.

Seo In glanced back to Gyueum whos eyes where almost popping out of his skull with how huge it gotten. She giggled, which caught his attention. "What wrong?" He asked confused
"Oh nothing, just adorable" she replied.

"I know right! Like, what kind of breed is this bird to have such vibrant red feathers!" He exclaimed. "It is kind of a mystery how it only has one color, vibrant red. Usually, birds have atleast two colors or a gradient one, but this one only has one single color of feathers, and so bright" she commented. "Must be so special!" He cheerfully said as he hold the bars of the cage like a child. "Probably is.."

So... Special...

"Geumwook, I kow you think I'm lying, but I'm not!" Wuhyeon tried to convince him. But Geumwook wasn't really buying it anymore. "Wuhyeon hyung, it's not that I don't trust you, it's just that you seem so much happy seeing me scramble to not step on any kids!!" He reasoned out.

Wuhyeon laugh with his whole heart. "I'm sorry okay? Let's just find where the parrot was placed so we could.."

He eyes Geumwooks clumsy moves.
"leave.. HAHAHAHA" he said before bursting of laughter

"Wuhyeon hyung!" He whined as he stomp his feat.

Suddenly, Geumwook noticed a big crowd sorrounding something in a cage. He tucked at wuhyeons sleeve and pointed at the direction.

"That must be some different type of animal Geumwook, keep an open eye!" He dismissed him.

"But Wuhyeon hyung, the parrot his grandma brought must have been popular, no? It probably even caused a stir with the zoo to even keep an old lady's pet, and it seems like the one uttering those loud unpleasant yells is the parrot" he reasoned out but Wuhyeon still dismissed him.

"Jiun hyung told me the parrot his grandma brought was quiet and never uttered anything, so I highly doubt it was even noticable except for its feathers" he remarked, but Geumwook was a bit curious. "Feathers?"

"Yeah, Jiun hyung said the parrot had only one color of feathers, vibrant red" he said and Geumwook kept in his mind.
