On a gloomy rainy day

Help me if I run away

A tall, dark stranger leads the way

Haunts me every night and day

Above me stands the sea and air

Below the summer fields sigh, sigh

What seems to be a lullaby

Behind the trees the butterflies

Soar soundly home and say goodbye

Through dim lit forests I comply

A list of songs to sweetly sigh

I contemplate the day and night

And when he comes I start to cry

Not just that but flailing skies

Sing of long and sad goodbyes

So away I start to fly

A tall, dark stranger in my sight
